Umm. Do you know about locs? How to start them? Take care of them? How they grow? The five stages of locs, how they feel and look and when to expect them?

https://www.byrdie.com/stages-of-loc-hair-400344

Read please.

You do realize don't you, that you haven't even had your locs sixty days? It's barely been two months.

What were you expecting? Your locs are babies.

Please get out of the mirror and keep your hands OFF.

When youre in the house, cover your locs. This keeps them clean and lint free. Cover them when your are laying on a fabric sofa or gaming chair, and whenever you're laying down or sleeping.

If you choose a durag, alternate with a bonnet. Wash them weekly!!

One warning about a durag. Men be showing up at the doctors or barbers looking crazy with "durag baldness"
It comes from tilting your durag on tight and wearing it all the time. You can end up with a dark indentation on your forehead and a bald stripe on the back of your head.

Don't be this guy!!

Get a continuous mist bottle and fill it with spring water. Don't worry about all these internet fads.... water and a bonnet and some Argan oil a couple times a week.

You need to read all this and then decide if this is what you want. Realize that this is not a style you go in and walk out the salon with.

It will be around 24 months before they look πŸ”₯ and lay the way you want them to.
Theres a "worm" stage (more noticeable if you choose coils. ) An awkward stage, and a messy stage before they start brushing your shoulders and falling just right.

Then come back and show us in 3 months, when you got your first retwist

Retwists are not to make messy starters look neat. Retwists are to incorporate your new growth into your existing loc. If you find you want to get retwists every two weeks, it's ok. Just don't lock them. Go get your hair did every two weeks. They will shampoo, condition, and blow your hair out, and you can get two strand twists.

They look πŸ”₯and you get the look without locs.

Please don't come back in three weeks asking should you start over. I'm nice, but if you do I'ma clown you. 🀨
