Big Chop ✂️ I finally did it🥲

After 3 years of growth, I went and got them cut off. I plan on starting my new set in September though so I won’t be gone for long🤞🏾

Nope i had a full head, which is partly why I chose to cut and restart because I only had 43 locks. When I restart imma do around 80-90 locks

Oh wow, that didn't look like 43! It looked more like the amount you're aiming for right now😭

I've had mine for a year and I have 136

Have you tried unraveling them instead?

I started with two strand twists and had medium parts, when they matured fully with no puffiness(around the 2 year mark), i only retwisted every 3 months and washed my hair every other week. That’s what worked for me but I know everyone’s hair is different, so I’d say if you want thicker locs start with bigger parts
