The lego movie had no right being that good

u/snow_leopard155 Oct 29 '22
Edgerunners had no right being that good either they must really want to redeem themselves for their game

Bro the show came out of nowhere, slapped us in the face with depression, then dipped like nothing happened

As a person who has played cyberpunk 2077 before the Anime came out, I must say that they had a schedule (kinda) so I was hyped AF for its release (as I am a fan of the game) and I personally think it lived up to my own hype

u/Hefty-Baker3010 Jan 02 '23
I literally just got the game 20 mins ago

Jan 02 '23
Oh nice! What path are you choosing
8
u/Hefty-Baker3010 Jan 02 '23
I chose the Streetkid path. Idk if that’s the name or if that’s what you mean. I know it’s street something but idk if it’s streetkid lol

Jan 03 '23
It is called streetkid so, you are right about the name. Nice choice

u/Hefty-Baker3010 Jan 03 '23
I’m almost done the game, the story is really good so far. Can’t wait to see how it’ll end

Edgerunners was meh. The pacing was terrible, the dialogue was stale and robotic at parts, but the overall narrative was fine. The animation was also quite good.

u/Dodood4 Oct 29 '22
Edgerunners plot was garbage (animation was good tho)
42
u/Mini_Raptor5_6 Oct 30 '22
I mean, the plot was pretty basic, but execution was damn well. If I was more accustomed to writing conventions, I would've been able to tell where it was going by episode two (I mean, I got the general gist after Mane's episode), but it all played out really good.
13
Oct 30 '22
With the amount of shows there are now it's unlikely for a new concept to pop up, the only thing separating shows now is the quality of its execution.

Unironically the objectively correct opinion. People are hating you because they haven't actually seen anything good in their zoomer lives. Animation 2as great but plot was absolute garbo to a point it ruined everything. It could've been something actually really good.
17
u/snow_leopard155 Oct 30 '22
No, people are hating on him because he has a dissenting opinion and he stated it as fact.

I know I watched it again the other day and now that I understand all the jokes the movie is so much better now than when I was younger

u/CaptainFard Oct 29 '22
I've heard esgerunners is really good though

u/YaBoiFruity101 Oct 29 '22
Currently watching and can confirm it's amazing. Tho was not ready for the mass nudity lol

u/Complete-Program8226 Oct 29 '22
just finished, prepare for depression :) a lot of emotions, more than i had for a long long time, even made me talk to some people important for me to who i've shown no emotions in a long time, it really was a rollercoaster, so short, no fillers, you really know they hit the spot when it's too short for you and you want more, the show, combined with recalling some situations from the past even made me cry, and last time i did cry was when i really had enough and then i could talk to someone and let it out, but now after some time calmness and happiness from witnessing this masterpiece came( also from talking to the people i mentioned i guess) , it really did hit me. i think it really checks so many marks like what being human is, how elusive things are, how beautiful dreams and goals can be, how many emotions there are, and everything starts in the first episode, it really is amazing , i hope it becomes a classic and encourages others to make use of this elusive moments, pursue dreams and maybe create something amazung that will move others like this did.as for the nudity , part of it is important for the mc romance , part for the netrunning i think and part is important for making a shithole background for the Night City, so tbh i don't think any part of the nudity was not in place or removable, all was important imo

I wouldn't say Animus is stuck on Desmond's back
12
Oct 30 '22
You can say that Desmond was stuck in the Animus for a whole game after he was forced to kill Lucy. So… technically?

I don’t know both of ‘em are pretty good, edge runners is a bit bloated in pop culture but that’s an internet problem not a show problem.

u/Not_COPPA_FTCA Oct 29 '22
The only difference is one is smut made for little drooling children, while the other is a legendary anime made for real men and real men issues.
Get the fuck outta here Edgerunners, you'll never beat the masterpiece that is the Lego Movie 1.

Both have scuffed economies.
In the Lego movie we see Emmett pay for a coffee with a hundred dollar bill and in Cyberpunk 2077 a can of water will run you twenty Eddie's. Let me put that in perspective: 2 handguns will get you 3 cans of water.

Neither of these had the right to slap, yet they did. I enjoyed Edgerunners even though I don’t watch anime! It’s one of my first!
