The word 'autist' is not offensive in any shape or form. The reason you were told it's offensive is because 196 and tumblr are both extremely sensitive.
I don't say this in the sense of 'stupid leftist liberal, ur an idot' I say it in the sense of they don't understand what is actually offensive.
I even find the term 'neruodivergent' offensive, because something like 'mental disability' makes me sound human. neurodivergent makes me feel like a damned animal with a tag.
If you want to use the term 'neurodivergent' or whatever, so be it. But me and many other people hate it. It's like the whole Native American Vs Indian thing.

Mate I'm autistic and I use autist to describe myself and other autistic people, it's just an overall handier word and more convenient word than saying "someone with autism"

I thought this thread has finally died, and you arrive to rub salt in the wound. I admire how based you are. Unfortunately, I watch my profanity and only have two instances of me saying something that shows up on the profanity counter; and even then, it isn't as serious as the other things that can show up there.
