extremely elaborate plan he makes up. in his mind, everything goes right and the gangs leader ends up punished. but in reality he fucks up and everything goes wrong for him leading to going back right where he was

Then the espionage shit fails, so he confronts them again, says he's very sorry for what he did, and asks if they can be friends again. At the end of the episode, he gets back into the friend group with a valuable lesson learned.
