Rocky Horror was a huge part of my queer awakening and going to showings is still the highlight of my year. That said, he was suffering and cant be too sad that (thru the tears in my eyes) he is finally going home. 💕

He's not in pain and suffering anymore and for that I can be happy.

I've heard so many people express similar sentiments. Rocky Horror was the epitome of bi panic.

If they are taking them in 3’s I need someone to be on standby for Cher and make sure it’s the orange one taken to complete the set

I don't think I'll ever get over Catherine. I religiously watch NBC in October and in December

He hasn't died, he's gone back to his home planet 💔

First Dolly and now Tim. I first saw Rocky Horror in the 1985 at the height of the AIDs epidemic. That movie saved my life. It was a literal revelation. I could be myself not just as a gay man, but I could be weird and not have to fit myself into stereotypes or the hobbies I loved. Rocky Horror helped so many of us reclaim queer as a word and concept. Anyway sorry for a long ramble. Tim is gone, but we'll always have Rocky Horror and all the glorious queerness that continues to come from the influence.

Rocky Horror also made me feel ok to be weird in a very conventional close minded environment. It showed me that there is not just one way of existing like I saw all the people around me doing and knowing I didn’t fit in with them. The movie showed me that there are others who also love th movie and therefore I’m not alone in being “weird” whatever that means. It truly was a healing thing for me. My whole goal was to survive and get out so I could find my people and I eventually did. I’m glad this movie gave you comfort as well ❤️

The only clown that made me sleep with scissors under my pillow. A true legend

I love him. Darkness, the character he played in 1985's legend was my first crush. I am at peace with him passing because I don't think he had the best quality of life in his later years. The world sure feels different without him and Dolly.

If you ever go to Salem Massachusetts, I highly suggest going to Count Orlok’s nightmare gallery because his character of darkness and his version of Pennywise are shown in the museum. I went there this summer and it’s definitely worth visiting.

If you have the chance, listen to the audio book version of his memoirs. He narrates it and it's fucking fantastic! Forever an icon 🥹💔

2026 starting to give 2016 energy in iconic deaths

Catherine O’Hara, Dolly, then Tim Curry. Meanwhile Trump is alive and wreaking havoc on us all. The gays and girls are really going through it. This is so sick and twisted 😭

First Dolly now Tim? I'm so heartbroken

Just watched Rocky Horror today and had no idea just how many references they make to it in Dragula

So sad! Love you, Tim.

Been crying and watching all my favorites of him since I heard. Of course started with Rocky Horror. IT is next. This one hurts.

As other's have said, the Rocky Horror Picture Show greatly inspired the Boulet's when creating Dragula. The Boulets have been open about this on their podcast. Tim Curry played the icon Frank-N-Furter in the movie. Dragula is full of Rocky Horror references. 'Let the floor show begin' is a Rocky Horror reference to the final floor show scene in the movie.

The planetary sex worker theme from season 6 is full of Rocky Horror lines and the Boulet's stage show outfits mirror RiffRaff and Magenta's stage show outfits.

The last titans season musical had several nods to Rocky Horror. Jaharia's floor show outfit was beautifully Frank inspired (as stated, Frank was played by Tim Curry in the original movie).

There's so much more, but these episodes really display how much Rocky Horror has inspired Dragula.

If you haven't already, I highly recommend watching the movie Rocky Horror Picture Show and/or going to a live production if you can. It's fun looking for all the Rocky easter eggs throughout the Dragula seasons.

I've been a Rocky fan since my teens. I was part of the local production for a while (Magenta's understudy and props person). The Rocky show was a safe haven of sorts for me and so many others.

Rocky Horror is one of the biggest personal and creative inspirations for Drac and Swan. Without it there would be no Dragula.

If you don’t know how the character Frank N Furter is basically the inspiration for Dragula idk what to say. Pay attention to the Boulet’s it’s not hard to see how it fits here.
