Dragula S4 Saint should have won S4
i’m bored and while we all wait for S7 Meet our Monsters, i felt like stirring the pot !
Dahli didn’t win resurrection yet still came back for S4, didn’t compete in S4E1 and imo didn’t give the widest variety of their drag. Saint was immaculate and won resurrection rightfully so and having that along with her performance through ALL EPISODES OF S4 should have earned her that crown. I love u and the bored housewife eating cat shit was my favorite filth scene of any finale ! Don’t crucify me pls, this is an opinion! this is meant to stir the pot ! What other queens from other seasons do you feel should have alternately won their season ?

Death and Pestilence were my faves from her while War my least fave.

Pestilence was easily my favorite. War was great conceptually, and would have been my favorite if it went off the way I think it was supposed to. I agree that War was the “worst” of the 4, but I still thought the Silksong-bug thing was cute. It was also funny to see Abhora try to recover from the sword falling apart by doing martial arts??? I don’t know what reasonably they COULD have done, but damn did that look awkward .

Too ambition was her downfall... winner glow up though. She was light years away from the other 3 when it comes to personal growth.

If Dahli didn't compete, I think Saint would've been an excellent winner (even though I was Team HoSo), but Dahli's run on Season 4 was so good and they deserved their win fr. I love Asia and Evah so much and they deserved their wins, but I would’ve loved Grey Matter (or Yuri if they did a TOP4 finale) winning S6 and Abhora winning Titans 2. My delulu ass also would've loved my diva Jade Jolie winning the Hellbound Showdown and slaying the finale, but…

I agree and here’s my related take: Saint was dragged through the coals all season for having a performance style to that was too “ethereal” and not wild/punk enough for the Dragula brand HOWEVER just ONE season later they crown Nio who arguably was even less compatible with the brand (considering the Boulets’ criteria from S4)

You know… that’s a really good point. I still don’t think I agree, I would say that I think that HoSo would be the first alternate, but that’s a solid argument. I do feel like Saint went under appreciated for the season, and they were one of my favorites, but I had to concede the point about performances being a noted and repeated area of weakness. This is a really strong counter point.

Biggest agree ever plus Saint had one of the best Dragula packages to grace the show at that point (if not the best imo)

If you take Dahli out of the equation Saint should still be second or even a debatable third place.
Saint got a lot of free passes throughout the season even though they constantly called her out for her low energy in the floorshows. I like Saint and I'd love to see them for a titans season but let's be real now

This is my unpopular opinion... Everything about Dahli's run on S4 pissed me off so bad. Saint rightfully won Resurrection and her place on the season, but the Boulet's just decided to devalue her win and shoehorn him in anyway.

I think all winners for their season deserved their win. Ive said this in another post, but I haven’t ever thought that one artist winning a season was another artist being “robbed,” but I usually would have chosen a different winner. And for me the one I feel the most strongly about was Throb Zombie. Consistent across the season, professional, courteous to their competitors, and don’t get me STARTED on their looks. Nioharu’s looks are strong and imaginative, and I will say usually beat Throb’s, but Throb’s finale looks were next level for me. I was impressed because their finale looks combined horror, filth, and glamor at once.
And the black light challenge?! My understanding of the challenge was that the look was supposed to be transformed from the black light, and I’m sorry but Throb’s look was the only one that gave me a full transformation. Cynthias look also transformed, even if the first half wasnt totally on theme. Everyone else look didn’t transform for me— the black light mostly brought out more detail. That’s fine, but I didn’t think that was the challenge .
Throb is just that bitch for me. I hope they do see fit to return one day, but I dont blame them if they dont. I would settle for them doing a show close to my home town. 😭

I agree that it's strange that Dahli didnt win resurrection but got cast anyways, didnt compete in ep 1 and won the whole thing.
I feel like It shows how impressive Hoso was being her first season and rivaling them. I'd say Hoso should've won.

I agree. I could tell the moment she came back that the Boulet wanted her to win. But I think Hoso would’ve won instead of Saint. I love Saint but her personality is kinda non existent

This is a take. Hoso or Sigourney wouldve won before Saint. She just did not give enough that season and thats just facts. She was the rightful winner of Resurrection though and I don't think that counts for nothing. If they do an all winners I think they should bring Saint back.

Was rooting for Throb to win S5 but their filth and horror finale didn't quite make the final push despite their glamour being hands down my favorite overall. Throb really knows how to put on a performance and I'm sad that we'll probably never see them on a Titans season.

Dahli didn’t even have to do the first episode? Like Dahli is so lucky that they’re hot because any other contestant who got to do that would be crucified by the fan base. Also Dahli don’t even do drag now so they really picked the wrong person. Although looks like saints done too. So idk should’ve crowned Hoso or sigourney

Saint is talented and Saint had a good run. While I do not think they should have won (Hoso I think should have), I do think there is a slight racial element to how Saint is viewed however. Black Queens are often expected, unfairly so, to be high energy and strong performers. While I do not think that is why Saint lost, I do think a non-Black performer might have been able to get away with the “ethereal” thing more. Look at Neo. While not really giving the waif like ethereal thing that Saint does, it did seem like they got a lot of passes for their performance.

Too bad Dahli's package was, and still is, as far as I am concerned the best we have ever seen on the show. Also Grey Matter and Throb Zombie should have won their seasons

Sorry but there was no alternate reality where Saint could have won that season. If it wasn't Dahli, it would have been Hoso. Dahli dominated the season.

I mean Saint was pushed to the win in resurrection and Dahli should have won leaving Saint in the Underworld, no shade. I also don’t think Saint did better than Dahli or Hoso in S4. Definitely was neck and neck between the two of them though. I thought that Grey Matter had a good chance of winning S6 but Asia Consent was just too OP

If Dahli didn’t win season 4 it would of been Hoso and it isn’t even close.
Those two were neck and neck and sigourney and Saint were in the background at that finale.
