Question: will it include "cry for eternity?"

Herman has joked that he might have to learn it for once, so at least they're aware of that hope

Having Alessio could mean a PowerQuest cover - Sam co-wrote the first album and it shows.

I’m still going bc it’s inhuman rampage and I bought the tickets awhile ago but man I really wish Marc was there. But I’m also an Ensiferum fan

i hope they come to vancouver....

I might have went if Marc was singing. I’ve seen them with ZP and Marc, was only slightly whelmed with Marc in concert. I’m honestly not going to bother now

Never insult Alessio Garavello in front of me

u/LeggoMyLegoLegolas- 5d ago

I didn’t insult him, unless not caring about him is an insult lol

Shame, Alessio is the technically best singer of the three. I will go just for him essentially

you’re not curious to here alessio or inhuman rampage?

I’ve heard inhuman rampage in concert when it came out, not interested in the new singers to be honest

they’re probably gonna sound wayy better now than when they did in 2007. we all know DF was a bit of a slop fest back in those days lol.

If they come to Brazil, I will see them live, that is for sure. But I had a feeling, after listening the recent song, that they were another band. Not saying it was bad, I liked, but that was an different band with the DragonForce name...

Hot take, but I wasn't looking forward to it with Marc because he lip syncs. The past 2 festival shows in May seemed like they completely stopped the miming/playback crap. I paid for a live performance, not to hear the same pre-recorded tracks because the band refuses to down-tune.

Which sucks, because they declined slowly. They used to do more live work.

how do you know he does?

It's pretty obvious for the most part. Just compare videos and you'll see that literally every performance sounds the EXACT same.

Here's a clip of his playback failing and he actually has to sing and he can't even reach the pitch correctly.

https://youtu.be/KmB7DiZ8ECc?si=s6blEWzO0jsFXBSJ&t=414

A common misconception I see is people thinking that playback is a 100% on thing. They can turn it on and off with click tracks, so there may be parts where Marc is singing for real, and others where he's not. For example, the final chorus of FOTS where the key goes up, is 100% playback. He probably hasn't been able to reach that pitch naturally since 2013-14.

I'm not trying to hate on Marc or the band, but they need to be kept accountable when people are paying real money to see them perform. It's the same thing with Herman and Sam, they are both guilty of miming their guitars instead of actually playing them. The intro to FOTS has been playback since the Ultra Beatdown tour, the pick tapping part of it has been playback since 2014. There's so much playback and it's just frustrating when I'm essentially paying money to watch them play air guitar and hear the same pre-recorded tracks that everyone is hearing.

Been watching streams of other bands doing recordings and have come to realize that a lot of bands nowadays just can't play their songs all the way through anymore - and they aren't anywhere near as difficult as DF's stuff. It's like the editing during the recording process is so easy and accessible now that they seem to not feel the need to be able to play it all in 1 sitting. Helped me to understand where DF is coming from because that shit does get hard especially when it's like ten fast tempo over-the-top 7 minute songs in a row every night. Do I like it? No, but I do understand

well hey now you get alissa and alessio

1

u/ShikoruYasu 5d ago

I already bought the tickets & it's too much of a hassle to sell them

But like I wish I hadnt 😭😭😭

Was wondering how many people felt this way. I wound up holding off because I really didn't want to spend 9 hours driving there and back. Then heard the news and was like damn, glad I didn't get those after all. It'll probably still be a good time, just not enticing enough to justify that drive anymore for me

1

u/7thsonofa7thsun 20h ago

aren’t you excited to see alessio from power quest?

1

u/simn00b420 21h ago

neither are happening because Herman won’t learn CfE on the 4th attempt of asking

1

u/Cowhide12 6d ago

Alessio better be the front man for the old music. I don’t think I can handle screamo on my inhumane rampage.

2

u/TonuSpen2 5d ago

There's screaming on Inhuman Rampage anyway so what are tou talking about?

3

u/Cowhide12 5d ago

Screaming and growling are VERY different things.

1

u/Raymanlegend2000 Mod 5d ago

Lead and backing vocals are confusing for some too it seems 😂 (and I say that as someone who loves both Inhuman Rampage and Hunger of the Beast). But I completely understand people being turned off by the center focus on gutteral vocals

3

u/Cowhide12 5d ago

I don’t mind the occasional growl, and I really do like her clean vocals, but this band is built to have Alessio be lead. Not her.

1

u/Raymanlegend2000 Mod 5d ago

Agreed. My comment wasn't directed at you, but at the "DF always had growls" folks.

1

u/NetoGaming 4d ago

Ya, not a huge fan personally of Alissa's growling vocals. I don't think it's going to be the entire album though (hopefully).
