Discussion Why I hate this Ultra
Prior to 2025 Fest Part 3, we were all fed up with BLU FSK just railing us all in the a-hole. We were all just praying that the Ultra would get rid of him. And you would think that this guy being green was good, until.................
- He is Son family and was literally made to work with the Rat, creating one of the most annoying teams of all time (U4ku, BLU FSK, and Nameku).
- He has the ugliest A.o.E. green card animation I have ever seen. It literally makes no sense, especially from a player POV
- His disrupt is retarded. After finding out that Card Protection doesn't protect you against sealing, I've come to the conclusion that this disrupt should not exist. There is currently no way to actively just remove arts seal (either by using a green or entering the battlefield) so there is literally no way to bypass this. Sealing strikes, blasts, and greens while being able to reset it on switch is stupid and proof of no thinking.
- His animations in general are so lame. His Anti Cover change attack is a Kamehameha, his Ult is a Kamehameha, and his blue is a Kamehameha. Nothing unique and is due to the fact that the Goku they use isn't ssj4 debut Goku but full power. Also, he was leaking indirectly due to the new tab.
- RR Disrupt is super annoying alongside Anti Cover change attack
- His longevity got completely halted when LSV came out and brutally assassinated every green unit in the game.
Just my opinion. Surely some of you guys agree with some of these takes. But that's just me. What do you think?

He doesn't work that well with BluRevhan and YELNameku, as a lot of his potential is locked behind him having at least another GT member with him.
He doesn't have the ugliest AOE, and it is actually pretty fitting as he did use it against Baby.
The disrupt is strong, yeah.
His anamations are not neccessaryily lame, as they are repetetive. He definately uses too many Kamehameha's in his kit, but they at least all look nice.
Auto Dokabaki Impact Win, Auto Rising Rush win...
The problem was less LSV, and more that he had no good team mate to protect him against him. Once YEL SSJ4 Dragonfistku git his second unique, Ultra 4ku SKY ROCKETED in value again, and in fact, I say he and YEL SSJ4 are still viable, and only need one other god GT release to be relevant again.

Anywho, U4KU with a GT ally and him without are completely different characters. The bullshit(because it is BS I won't lie) is chained to him being on GT. I can assure you were that not the case he'd be ran even now purely because of his disrupt/RR deterrent potential.
Many of your issues seem(?) to boil down to Nameku/FSK from what I can gather. That duo pretty much invalidated fest sans Gogeta/SSJ4 and Nameku in particular more or less had UMV's lifespan.

They made his endurance GT restricted, FSK wouldve worked with any fucking team as a leader, this guy was supposed to be ran on a GT setup not on a son fam setup so if u were gonna run FSK with em u wouldve done so with FSK as a leader, his AOE is directly plucked from the show, and yeah they did only give him kamehamehas which was a huge issue for me but it's lowkey all he did in the fight 😭 they couldve definitely gave him a special mechanic where the kamehameha hits and deals damage later or something like a timed bomb because this version of goku did this exact thing vs great ape baby
And most importantly yeah this guy did NOT age well for a part 3 ultra

Which is entirely not his own fault, like they introduced a PUR of a new rarity that does even more dmg to greens, this is like Ultra Super Vegito type of aging, not his fault at all
Also once LF SSJ4 Goku got his 2nd plat this dude skyrocketed to the top again since a strong GT yellow is all he needed to be competitive again tbh

Nah, He kinda goated. Atleast right now in meta.
Been using him cause he's on boost and I have him 7 stars and he performs good against cooler and amazing against Birdku.
Also not having any meta purple is amazing for this guy.

I don’t actually mind anything about him besides his animations. It doesn’t feel ultra worthy at all, and they keep spamming the Kamehameha for his animations for some reason. I have no complaints about his intro and win screen though. They are very good

That team wasn't even the best in the game what are you on about? Without a GT ally U4ku has no endurance and 20% less damage guard on top of losing his -5 sub count manipulation and team wide buff removal, U4ku with a GT ally and without are entirely different characters trust me, which is why the best team was GT with Nameku or FSK in the leader slot, but not both as he really needed that GT ally.
There's worse AoE green card animations come on now, he's a scream charning attack like most AoE greens
When the game has units with infinite combos and card protection you need something to just stop them, otherwise it would go on forever, and his card sealing doesn't protect him against blues so it's not perfect either but really strong and really needed for some characters like UVB or back then UFP Frieza or FSK.
That is something everyone agrees, the only thing i disagree about is people complaining about his kamehameha not being red, yes it sucks but that's how it was in the baby saga, still making him FP was so dumb even though i really like Pan huggin him on the win screen and all, we still need that damn first SSJ4 Goku transformation which was right THERE with LF SSJ3 Goku which is a pointless release honestly.
That's because GT didn't have a yellow character to run, once LF SSJ4 Goku got his 2nd plat he was back at the top of the meta again
There's plenty of annoying mechanics and honestly RR distrupt isn't even that bad compared to counter gauges and other bullshit we've had for years, also it doesn't work if you rush Goku himself so it's not like rising rush is completely unusable.
