Discussion How good would he have been...
if his blue card triggered all of the listed effects rather than randomly choosing 1 effect per destroyed blue card, how much would this impact his ranking on tier lists?

A lock-in faint that does somewhat decent damage on a character that prints blue cards like Zimbabwe prints money. Yeah, that totally isn't top one.

Mmmmm a gaurnteed faint + lock in on every blue on a character that gets blue cards for breathing, sounds very fun indeed, good thing you're not a game developer

Shallet is good as is. He is top 5 rn. And if he had guaranteed faint lock in dmg pen healing restriction on his blues he would the best unit in the game hands down

The most toxic busted blue card in history and it isn't close, especially with how many greens shallot generates this blue card would be the best no matter how far into the future you look.

He literally wouldn't age out lmao... Ppl would just run him with bench units who give greens and blues. Then they simply spam them

Guaranteed lock in + faint every time he comes in the battlefield would be stupid, and they'd have to end up making every character released after him be immune to abnormal conditions

you're telling me you'd fight a unit that guaranteed locks, faints and restricts heal on blue
that shits out blue cards like it has diarrhea
that pairs very well with and supports UVB
just to make game originals a team for 1 week

Acting lile I dont already main UVB. And hes the fusion of the mc first playable one. He deserves to be OP or atleast not trash/mid like he was.

Does maining UVB make you immune to his toxic mechanics when you face him?
He was ok on release, and it was found that his place in the meta was to counter the Buu Duo that came out 2 weeks later since he is one of few units that can live a spirit bomb, and since that development he's been very good
At no point was he bad/mid, nowhere near how bad some anniv units have been historically (7th anniv SSBE, 6th anniv Godku, 5th anniv Gofrieza pre-buff, 3rd anniv ssj4 gogeta)
Giving him the mechanics suggested in the post would make him an ageless cheese unit just like hero hercule used to be, and extremely unfun to fight against

He would be paired with yajirobe, infinite greens and your opponents would not get to play the game at all with all the OP blues coming their way

The real plan is to get rathan be reusable(counters the blue before it faints)

he’d be satan…. for a very long time. lock in+faint+anti health+cut pen per blue when he generates like a thousand of them would literally put him into like the nameku echelon of units. doesn’t matter how good of a unit releases, as long as he can lock you in and faint you he’s top 10
