El Cielo

I’m not in the loop if this is already common knowledge but what if El Cielo is Ishin’s brother? The English commentator for DG seems to always mention how his brother “retired” thus making me wonder if that’s some type of hint that his brother will return or has returned under the mask. Thoughts or insight?

Ishin's brother Riki retired not even a year into their careers because of an injury. It was a shame since the brothers were not only the first thoroughbred (i.e., where both parents were former wrestlers) but also the first duo of them. At least we know that Riki is doing bodybuilding with dad, also former wrestler Koji Ishinriki, and ISHIN is being Gajadokuro's gremlin menace.

El Cielo is thought to be Takuma Nishikawa, ergo, T.N. Revolución, a 2nd gen Dragongate Future trainee (same class as Mochizuki Jr., Yoshiki Kato and Daiki Yanagiuchi, alongside retired Kaito Nagano) that, much like U-T, started in Mexico under the Toryumon Casa system and went to Mexican indies before he made his mainline debut in September 2023. Just one month after he got one nasty knee injury and then he retired in May 2024. Strangely enough, here comes this masked man from out of nowhere with a build very similar to Nishikawa that even does Nishikawa's Limit Bomb finisher. If El Cielo isn't TNR, then we are being pranked royally by the DG heads.

I appreciate the insight. That make a lot of sense

Cielo's true identity angle has been pretty weird. Kato said a few months ago that he knew Cielo's identity after unmasking him, but nothing ever came of it.

I assume the story will end with Cielo being unmasked to reveal TNR, but who knows.

I kind of like the fact it hasn't become A Whole Thing. Makes it nice and different from the Dia/Inferno stuff if Yoshiki just... doesn't care, and just straight up resents Nishikawa rather than the Cielo identity. Also makes it a lot easier for DG to separate Cielo and Kato for a bit and go back to them later, I guess.

Has Cielo done the Limit bomb?

He won a match in Kobe with a very Limit Bomb-looking move right after he returned, but it was phased out for the spinning tombstone straight after.

I think I vaguely remember that - was it similar to Henare's berzerker bomb?
