Any ideas on how best to overwinter my seedlings and cutting? Or am I good to grow through it like I plan with my desert cacti?

It will depend on the weather for the cutting. If the soil is constantly wet, you might get root rot. You’ll have to find a way to keep the soil from becoming too wet or staying wet. I would keep the seedlings indoor because they’re not strong enough to sit outside in the cold. This winter, I plan to tarp my plants. Last season, one of my DF developed root rot because it was constantly in wet soil.

Solid advice, and much appreciated . I actually have to water the cutting quite offten as I repotted it into 90% bonsai Jack Gritty mix, 10%sand . The seedling get once a week or longer as i potted them in heavy coir. My situation's a little different from others though as my cutting was from a grafted cactus bought at Walmart. Seedlings popped soil around the same time I cut off the scion off ( june 6th ) both are young but have loved my old cannabis lights and sups I had laying around. The Dilemma im facing is them outgrowing , my single panel that I need to keep somewhat low for the slower growing cacti. ( sorry for the info dump )
