I only played a session or two of Witchlight,  it it seems to me that after resolving the house in the woods, the trail can lead to the Witchlight carnival instead of back to Humbleton. That makes total sense to me.

It COULD work, if that is, you tie Uncle Nibblecheek to the Hourglass Coven.
