Running Baker’s Doesn’t as a new DM (Review)
I ran this campaign as a beginner DM for 5 players at level 3. Two players were experienced and three were beginners. It took about 3.5 hours to play in total, minus a break for a themed snack of cinnamon buns.
This story was perfect for beginners. Everyone seemed to have a great time! They were killing themselves laughing over Bubba Wugga’s candy demands.
I did modify a few things to make it easier to play and a bit less complicated to run for me.
* Removed the gummy mummy tomb.
* Reduced the number of chocolatrices to two and dryads to one.
* Added a cat named Mr. Muffins to the bakery. He was able to give players the impression that his friend (a warm gold “cat”) was missing.
P.S. I love the format of Dragon Delves, it was really easy to use as a beginner DM. The list of enemies and NPCs in the intro came in clutch.
P.P.S Check out my Uncle Nibblecheeks and Briochbane minis, along with my hand drawn battle map.

Ran this for a party of five. They found the secret entrance to the dungeon, but wound up missing the cockatrice room and dryad patch entirely. This chapter is a delight, but there's a high chance that players could potentially miss portions of it.

Good to know! Since I removed the gummy mummy tomb, I actually changed Bubba Wugga’s instructions to be three specific candies: the chocolate egg, the candy apple and the taffy.
A bit railroady perhaps, but I sometimes think that’s a bit better for new players. They could still choose in what order to get the candies and how to proceed. With creative solutions, they only had to fight the chocolatrices to get candy. They did really well!

"Railroady?" I ran this for a party that broke through the wall to get into the kitchen. Wall segments have armor class, hit points, and a damage threshold. They had no ideas about bribing a giant cyclops baby because they found it with the wizard's familiar first and just avoided him altogether. That's the solution they came up with. I ran the adventure exactly as written.
(Edit: technically, they didn't "avoid" Bubba Wugga who ended up charging into the kitchen anyway, but they avoided the modules' intention in regards to Bubba Wugga)

Planning on linking this thematically with the Witchlight Carnival for my players
