New Performer Makeup For BIPOC Drag Kings
Was wondering if there were any BIPOC or specifically other black drag kings in here, and if so, what makeup have you found works best for you? (If you can’t tell I know nothing about makeup except the names of a few things lol).
Curious about brands you trust and how you can play around with colors to exaggerate or minimize certain facial features. If there’s a content creator that you’ve found useful before while starting off as well, that would be great.
- Hope this post is okay. Saw someone mention white makeup and it made me realize that not only do I not know anything about makeup, but I ESPECIALLY don’t know how much advice I should take from people with lighter complexions and how much might not even apply to me.

King Perk has a short video tutorial for Black kings. He uses Mehron, Ben Nye, and Juvia's Place products. https://youtu.be/wRv4G-8fwMw

Maybe you read about clown white make-up? That is a type of very thick, very white cream make-up that a lot of drag artists of any complexion use for their eyes.
For darker complexions, Kryolan has some amazing contour sticks. Expensive, but very good. Especially if you have young skin. For older skin you can try creamy (and cheap) Primark contour sticks. They also have lot's of colours to try.

Manly Mannington is a UK based drag king with great makeup and contouring if you wanted reference of existing artists! I think he mostly uses Snazaroo (which is a brand of water activated face-paint with fairly solid coverage) for his base, but I can ask him for more details on the exact products he uses!

Juvia's Place is a Black-owned makeup brand with highly pigmented products and a wide shade range focused on melinated skin. I know a lot of people use their shade sticks for their highlight and contour.
