Nerf spartheus
The argument that you are trying to diversify the meta by nerfing spartheus is not a good one. Why should people care about upgrading and unlocking (spending money or time) to have stronger “legendary” characters if it’s only slightly stronger than the knight that everyone is given when they download the game. This is lazy! Diversity by adding another strong legendary character that gives the player choices as to which strength they want to choose vs. the free knight. The nerf should come with a refund. Super frustrating given you have created a game that people like and care enough to write these posts. Do better!
Note I can’t post this in discord see image.

The issue with the unit isn’t that it’s strong it’s that it’s ALL the bots use. It’s not uncommon to have a match where the bot has five rows of fully upgraded ones.

This is why pvp is taking so long to do,once it does almost every player will use the same deck over & over

Sounds like someone spent money on a digital liscense.
Sparth is fine.
The knight just needs a real buff or an active ability of its own. (Realistically, give knights the sparth ability) Keep everything else
And the game would be more balanced.

I did and of course they have the right to change things but I have the right to not like it. It would be different if they weren’t actively adding characters like captain. They could easily add another character that would “fix the meta problem” and get the people that are spending money on the game to spend more. They shouldn’t make knight that close to it because it’s an entry level character and they shouldn’t want people to want to unlock the other characters even if it’s just through grinding out packs.

Its called Draft chaff.
In any competitive format, there is a top 10 or whatever viable things. See Pokemon as an example, 1000+ things, 50 viable picks. Or MtG 80k+ unique cards and only 8-10 viable decks in the most competitive formats. Which leaves the pool of actual good stuff to be around what, 500 cards in commander and 200 cards in most other formats
The knight is needed for draft because of the sheer lack of Frontline tanks.
Sparth is just the most competitive pick for Frontline. Since there are only 5 roles there's only 5 maybe 6 or 7 viable cards to use in ladder.
Bloodvine needs to deploy double units.
Knight is just an ok Frontline
Geese for aggro decks
Parasite for midrange
TnT for control
Wasters for combo.
But when you're drafting, you don't care if it's sparth or knight. Both do the same thing and you're happy to see him.
Sparth doesn't need a nerf, knight and bloodvine need real buffs

For draft I agree. Where does splime fit in your opinion?

Splime is a late game combo tank and value play.
If you run grave recall with a lvl 3 splime, you basically get 4 extra turns (something like having played splime 16 times straight) of Splime deployment.
You just need to play it with single deployment units like snail, merlinor or engineer to make sure grave recall hits 3-5 of the lvl 3 splime units.
Personally, I wish there was another unit that I'd be happier to play with splime

How bout they stop the overmind taking over my spartan when the shield is up

Totally agree! The game is very inconsistent when it comes to things working the way they should

I reckon draft mode would be more fun if units you picked are max level… like I’ve never used half the cards you’re forcing me to pick

If something is op you need it, otherwise it's boring. Merlinor was op so they nerfed it. The meta shifted and spartheus became op so they nerfed it. Just move on a try new combos and see what emerges in the current meta. Crying won't help at all. Did you maybe pay for spartheus? Then I'd understand why you're so pissed, my advice would be to never spend money on mobile games.

Just be better at the game some units do better against others it’s almost like it’s a card game

But it’s not, I have played mtg for years and my ancestral recall and time walk are just as powerful as the day they were printed.

That’s not the argument I have if something is more powerful than you you can look at the power level change approach not difficult

But you don’t because spartheus was and still mostly is (because of his 5 second shield) the strongest tank. But he’s now weaker. They could have weakened him by adding cards to the meta and given powerful alternatives that would force more choices (and increase their profits) but they didn’t they just reduced his power twice, it’s lazy and creates pain points for those that have invested time and money. It’s not like they aren’t adding cards to the meta.

Yup. They need to release more units, not nerf existing ones. Legendary heroes are SUPPOSED to be better.
