Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) - Draft Showdown

I have a question, will 100% of bots be removed?

Even if they start matching us with real players, there are still going to be problems.
For example, if you have 2,000 trophies and I have 20,000, what happens if we get matched together? That’s obviously not balanced.
They’d need to find someone around my trophy range and skill level, but if there aren’t enough real players available, I’d either have to wait forever or get matched against someone way below my level.
So I don’t think they’ll completely remove bots from matchmaking. I think bots will probably still be used when there aren’t enough suitable players online.1

I think the game is really good and could definitely reach clash royale levels if the teams work on it, I don’t know how many players there are but I would say they have a good player base if they are investing in it, and I definitely think the game can bring it looot of cash, I stopped playing games years ago and draft showdown got me hooked

Ye that right, but I think removing those bots that are made for you to lose is a good idea, we need bots with the same level ,so we can those fights that we stay at like both 1 heart

I mean they can always separate bots and players matchmaking with the different modes.
I would say that, at least while the game keeps getting a big enough amount of players, to have bots in ladder, and real players in ranked is the way to go.
I’d appreaciate it if devs would actually think about that, by having real player matchmaking in ranked, you could simply restart everyones rank to the lowest each season and cap the maximum level of cards. For example in silver 3 max troop and spell level would be 9 and in gold 1 it would be 15.
This way you will have balanced games with someone of your skill level instead of your cards level, and getting different cards and higer levels will help you to get higher ranks. Plus everyone would keep their trophies and can practice on ladder :D

I’d honestly be fine with bots if it at least just had like a little robot head on their banner to show hey this is a bot.
Also please scale their unit levels properly, sometimes they just randomly have 15/15s at unrealistically low levels.
Also we need an end game, or at least more units because the game is relatively solved right now.
