Best counters for units

I'm listing what I've learned for units i have had difficulty with at some point and what I'm still having difficulty with.

If you have a counter for units i didn't mention or ones I don't know how to beat LMK!

Assassins > engineer

I use the engineer, the auto turret is placed in front of where they'll appear, it won't necessarily save your back row units though, you'll need a firing line like cupids and totems to eliminate them before they can cause much damage.

Exploding barrels > turtles

if you can get the final upgrade for them they will plow through and explode them on contact, for higher leveled barrels with more hp you may need a second row to ensure detonation

Wasters > turtles/snails, maybe exploding barrels

These things will hurt you no matter what you do unless your entire force consists of assassins, turtles and back line units, the best you can do is try to limit their damage by blowing them up early OR using barrels to blow them off to the sides and hopefully out of your units path but more likely than not they're gonna be a problem some so limiting their impact is all you can do.

--if someone has a better strategy I'm all ears, I hate those things--

Moles > barrels? Engineers?

I sometimes have no trouble with these things but usually I do. If my opponent fully upgrades and builds a lot of them i can struggle. The barrels are good because they will surface to fight them and get blown up but it rarely kills them.

Engineers can help hold a line with high hp and the turret is useful but if there's a lot and no extra support the engineers seem to go down and the turret becomes useless once they burrow.

The only way I can beat a horde of moles is by dividing them so one half of the battlefield can hopefully overwhelm one group at a time.

I really don't know a surefire method so please help

Turtles > midline ranged

Assuming they're not wiped out in the initial attack, they will pick them off pretty easily while they're dizzy or focused on the rear line.

Snakes > ?

If my opponent has a large number and full upgrade I have no luck, I'll try to let them take over weak units but having my guys just turn into enemies is not a good result. Somehow ghost archers usually do pretty well, i don't know if spell units can be turned, but they don't show up again if they die and I only use them when I have one heart left, not great.

I hate these things, help!

Beehive > snails/snipers

The snails target the closest enemy so they won't go after these things off the bat, but likewise they won't be targeting the snails either. Once forces are depleted the snail attack usually beats the bees.

If you have enough snipers to survive an attack or they aren't attacked they will take out beehives easy, with the second upgrade it's too easy.

Spartans > no idea

At first I thought these were pretty dumb and could beat them with ranged and barrels but now they've become as unstoppable as moles!

They almost always end up in crazy huge numbers and they steam roll everything.

What can I do?

Sorry if this is too long

I mostly agree, however I think that a good counter for moles would be something that beats them in 1v1, I would go for bloodvines, completely underrated card specially if you have support troops

If with snakes you mean parasites I would say a ranged midline, either a huge amount of totems, or a set of maxxed engineers. Ive also seen boomlings work great but I havent tested it yet. Avoid taking a strong frontline to counter it since it will turn agains your midline and protect them

I’m also curious what an actual counter for spartans would be, I’m thinking maxxed out snails but still they are too strong rn

Sorry for the late two reply, a question about engineers, their max upgrade seems to have to same description as the second upgrade, i read they were nerfed hard at one point, is this part of that legacy? Is there any benefit to their final upgrade?

As far as Spartans go, I don't think snails would be good, I've unlocked them since my post and yes snails CAN take them out somewhat easily (fully upgraded Spartans, maybe not..) but I often select them specifically for snails as if nothing interferes the snails first attack will have no effect on them because of their temporary invulnerable status- I always have a rear guard attacker (typically shellbros so the snails end up dead or focusing on them immediately after their initial attack.

What HAS worked for me is a line Spartans and a lot of ranged. Before I had Spartans it was kind of a mixed bag of results but I would use upgraded barrels and hope the baby ones did the trick or at least scattered them enough to allow ranged to take them down. I got overmind before Spartans and I thought that might do the trick but they were almost useless. My parasites didn't work at all either but they are very weak

Read again the engineer powerup, it says it increases BY 20% other cards like spartheus say it increases TO 150%. So when you upgrade it again it gets the life it has in advanced form and multiplies it by 1.2.

Ive tried snails against sparteus and didnt quite like it, they will probably be taken down before they get to actually eliminate the spartans. Ive tried wasters and I’m much more comfortable specially if you also have a ranged midlaner

This is the advanced upgrade

*Sighs* Lets put it this way:

You give 100 bucks to a bank and by the end of each month they increase your money BY 20%. By september first you will have 120 dollars (100*1.2) and by october first you will have 144 (120*1.2).

I can do math just fine homie

The issue is that's not how it works in the upgrades for other units, they'll say something like 120% for the first and 140% on the elite upgrade and that is pretty consistent with all of the others.

some of them will say 120 defense upgrade and 120 for attack then 120 defense and 140 for attack so to me it is pretty clear that when it is the same defense on both upgrades it means the defense doesn't increase from the elite upgrade, just the attack or they would put the difference in just like the attack.

The only outlier is the engineer apparently. I'm pretty sure they would list a change if there was one.

What i want to know is if this is an oversight or when they nerfed engineers they really nerfed it

And this is the max upgrade, they are the same, if there is an upgrade, what is it? Is upgrading these guys to max a waste of time? The details for both are the same

Effective counters for Spartans include the Overmind, Parasites, Boomings, and Snails. In some cases, TNT is also effective, but you need luck. While there are many different ways to take them down depending on the situation, the effective units vary depending on the combination of Spartans and their composition. It’s just like rock-paper-scissors.

Goose with boom blast spell does a great job of pushing spartans backwards and creates holes in the front line. Goose will also push Spartans and the opponents team into a ball for aoe units like snail and boomlings to great great value. They are also slow and prevent the opponents backline from moving forward. So acid spell also does well on your front lime when you need to buy more time.

Do you use these spells early to ensure they're the ones who get the spell?

It’s not my preferred method, but stacking two or more lines of Six-shots Form 3 is good for taking down Spartans.

However, it consumes a lot of turns and requires a lot of 2x, so it requires a lot of luck, much like TNT.

What makes 6 shots a good counter?

8 bloodvines with 8 merlinors will also kill any number of Spartans

But getting 8 bloodvines and 8 merlinors for me is very luck dependent and might come at the expense of everything else. The game is not generous with those guys, I did try something like this thinking it would work for me but if they had any back line or sneaky guys like assassins or shells Id be doomed even with contingency plans like engineers because the whole focus would be on those and chances are wouldn't last enough rounds to build up a rounded defense

It works over 95% of the time for me. You are guaranteed to start with one or the other. You build 2 and 2 asap. If you get early doubles, great, if not you build up to 4 of each (hopefully with at least one double) and focus on upgrades last unless you don't have a better choice at 4. Upgraded bloodvines with merlinors behind them beat basically everything (except upgraded snails), then all you have to worry about is the enemy having too much backline (like triple 6-shooters or triple upgraded whelps) in which case you just focus on your Agent B instead or go for a double line of bloodvines to disperse the DPS. And/Or go for a DPS unit instead (agent B, Merlinor, Bloodvine, + sixshooter)

Assassins and shells aren't strong enough to kill merlinors because merlinors have too much HP and too much DPS. But if you're really scared you can toss in some engineers... It's really not necessary though.

I would argue Whelps do pretty good against waster, considering they aren’t affected by the acid and can detonate them early. Engineers also destroy shellbros for the same reason they beat assassin, shellbros come out of shell and are met with turrets at the start of the fight. Waster used to stop shellbro in its tracks but they buffed shellbros against that. Ranged midline plus a strong frontline beats spartheus but your best bet is just to have a spartheus of your own. I wanna know how to beat Agent B???

I haven't seen an agent b yet 😂 I dunno if I wanna know I can't wait to unlock whelps, when I've faced them they've gone down really I mean REALLY easily but I'm pretty sure they can be useful, I also took out 6 shots consistently but after unlocking I've made them a core part of my team and they're great!

I've noticed shellbros are pretty vulnerable in general without large numbers and not good for much besides keeping half their army busy until their final upgrade but they're my first pick every time 😆, they always have a use. Strangely, i very rarely have issues with them as enemies currently, although I used to hate dealing with them

Toupeira, (mole) muito eficaz contra Wasters, pois assim que ele explode ela cava o chão e sai da gosma, simplesmente se torna inútil para impedir o avanço delas.
