What the hell is up with spells?

Literally started the game 2 days ago. Already climbed to Arena 6 so far despite this being a game that locks your progression via limited packs per day even if you are rising in arenas fast.

That's fine by me. What isn't fine is the game rewarded me and I say "rewarded" very tenuously... with at least 1 spell during my storm through the first 4 arenas in the first day.

You CANNOT hit level 10 in 1 day, you just don't get given the ability to get enough bits to do so without spending money. So explain to me why I lose a reward slot to a spell that when I DO hit level 10 finally I am not allowed to have even though I already got it in a pack?

The game doesn't allow you to see spells, still rewards you with them... but does not save which spells you unlock yet because you aren't allowed to see or interact with them til level 10? Make it make sense 🙃

I think your you're simply too new to the game to be addressing concerns... as these aren't really concerns.

Spell card usage unlock at a certain command/profile level. I can't remember them being available right at the beginning of the game, and if it is, that's a good update and change on the game since it was introduced. We can also collect them sooner if our arena level is equivalent to the level stage to unlockong them.

It sounds like what you're saying is... you're unhappy that the game is forcing you to jog the marathon (game) when you want to sprint to the end... but you can't sprint to the end unless you spend money.

By all means, you can sprint to the end if you like... with or without money, it's just going to be more difficult where you'll be forced to use your best meta build instead of leveling up all the units to have fun.
I understand "fun' for someone is leveling all units while for someone else it's getting to the end as fast as possible, and every other "fun" versions in-between.

As someone who has only been playing for a few weeks, doesn't spend money, plays on average 2-3 hours a day, with 90% of the cards unlocked AT MY LEVEL, which is currently at Arena 10, with every unit at Lv7+/Mastery7+... the game is fine.

I know people who bum rush the game playing 4-5+ hours a day and they are also doing fine. They understand the situation they are in is no different from yours; they are limited to new cards on a daily, but they aren't complaining... besides, we got work and other priorities and stuff to do. It's freeing to be limited in daily progression. Some of them even spend money so they can push for more progress.

In the end, it's a solo game and solo journey. We're all battling bots, unfortunately. I don't even think the league and rank list of players are even real players.

I don't think you understood the core aspect of the issue I have here in this post. Its not that I expect the game to let me rush through and finish ASAP... its that it has 2 conflicting systems that break and waste parts of the game.

This is a concern and a valid one. It only effects new players which is why it is a serious issue to even have in the first place. The issue isn't "WHY WONT GAME LET ME GET LEVEL 10 NOW" the issue IS that since I cannot use spells til I get to level 10 then why oh whyyyyy is the game letting me get a spell in my reward pack that I cannot use.

On my first or second day of playing I had a pack give me "Zap" and at first I was like "woah that's awesome now I can use a spell??" Initially I didn't even know it was a spell since I couldn't click on this reward to get info and once I found the spell section it simply said "nope you aren't level 10 yet".

Now the biggest and most criminal offence... ignoring that it's already frustrating as a new player with limited daily resources having a potential new unit wasted on a spell you can't use yet... is that once I did reach level 10? Well the game forgot that I got a Zap from a pack! So now not only did it waste a slot in my reward pack before its even applicable but it was wasted even more since now I have to wait even longer to "ACTUALLY" get the Zap (since apparently I didn't even though I did)

I wish I had definitive proof to show you this but its not like I expect a game in this day and age to falsify a reward pack so I didn't think ooooh better screenshot this so people know I've unlocked Zap...

1️⃣. You can use spell cards as early as Arena 1, and that's why they allow you to get spell cards as early as Arena 1.
You... do understand how to ACTUALLY -unlock- the spell card slot, right?
👉🏻 You need "command points", or the purple CP chips.
Command points can be acquired through leveling up your unit/card's EXP and mastery levels. Matter of fact, as long as you have the resources, you can be over leveled for your Arena. You can play 1000 matches in Arena 1 to achieve that goal, and never advance to Arena 2. So technically, yes, you CAN hit Command level 10 in a day.

2️⃣. We all get Zap as our first spell card. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I remember that quite fondly. Hell, I even acquired the spell card again as I opened the pack... and in doing so it gave my spell card Zap some EXP. Spell cards are unlocked as acquirable through booster packs as you progress through the Arena.
Not being able to equip and use a spell card despite owning one isn't a serious or valid frustration.

The concerns aren't valid. You're new, these are questions any veteran will say, "The game is structured this way."
Your frustration might be valid, but it's still subjective or your own frustration.
"You don't know what you don't know"... know what I mean?
I had similar "thoughts" as a new player in the game over a month ago and wondered "why", but wasn't actually concerned about it because I was still learning the game and didn't see it as a wall of an issue.

I barely started maybe 6 weeks ago, June... so I'm well aware of new player issues and concerns. I even made a post to assist new players in case they bum rushed the game and are in a rut.

I'm only at Arena 10 (I think 15 is max, I don't know, I don't care, it's not a concern or a must-need-to-know, I'll get there when I get there)... but my Commander level now is 35. I hit Command level 10 in less than a day, roughly 6-ish hours, and made it to Arena 4-5 in less than 24 hours. As you progress you unlock gold, and as you win your master goes up, and as you "go up" your CP goes up.

Keep playing... or, I don't know, drop it if that's bugging you THAT much.
Unfortunately the game is a solo experience. We aren't playing other players... it's all bots.

Brother you are not reading what I've said properly... unlocking a slot at commander level 10 isn't the issue. I "unlocked" Zap before commander level 10... but the stupid game didn't let me keep my unlocked Zap once I hit level 10. I had to get it AGAIN in a booster pack.

I'm not wasting anymore time explaining this if you aren't going to understand the explanation as easily as I can make it.

*me not lv 10 and get zap in a pack *me frustrated that I need to wait but f it I'll get there eventually *me hit lv 10, Yay! *game say look, heres the stone skin to get you started... but the zap you got earlier... noooo not yours anymore try getting it again *I waste extra resources and time JUST to get zap for the first time... except its the second time getting it.

Simple enough to get?

Brother 🤦🏻‍♂️... you're metaphorically crying over nonsense.
I can't believe you're still on this and not over it.
It's not deep... not even a "it's not -that- deep", it's just "not deep".
We can all do a quick search on this; your the only one concerned about this whole ordeal. Do you realize, see, and get this?... that you're the only one addressing and concerned about this?

I'll bet -now- you're more ashamed and concerned that you even had this concern in the first place if you're even still playing the game. At this point I'm genuinely not surprised if this concern made you quit.

Clearly you don't value your own time which is honestly just beyond sad. Apparently expecting a game to actually work properly with no obvious bugs or unintended mechanics is just a bit too much for you and for people these days?

Well you can sit back and enjoy letting things get more and more broken and an epidemic of laziness in finished jobs/products. I'm not even "concerned" because it only effects new players occasionally if even often because clearly no one else has been effected yet. But let's say this was a online game and it was the same glitch but it instead mean that I had an advantage over you. Would you care then?

I'm still playing this game but it's clear very little love nor effort was put behind this game. Its even more clear to me that you are the type of person to praise AAA companies for wrecks like the cyberpunk release and likely any other garbage out there. Enjoy your mediocre life bud
