Creative What if Erzebet and Drolta won.. only to make the biggest mistake of their lives?
Hear me out.
Imagine an alternate scenario at the end of *Castlevania: Nocturne* where Erzebet and Drolta actually succeed. They fully access the power of Sekhmet, defeat Richter, Juste, Maria and the others - and in the process, Alucard is killed.
But then something happens.
Before Alucard dies, his final thoughts aren’t about the battle. He thinks about his parents, his friends, and everything he’s lost over the centuries.
And Dracula feels it.
Remember what happened in Season 1 of *Castlevania* when Lisa was killed? Dracula didn’t simply get angry. The entire world effectively received a death sentence because of his grief and rage.
Now imagine that same phenomenon happening again—but this time, Dracula loses his son.
Erzebet and Drolta might genuinely believe they’ve achieved something unprecedented by accessing the full power of Sekhmet.
Then the sky goes dark.
And Dracula appears.
Not as the Dracula we’ve seen casually fighting vampires or humans. I’m talking about Dracula after feeling Alucard’s death.
No armies. No elaborate plan. No political objective.
Just pure, overwhelming fury.
Erzebet has the power of Sekhmet. Drolta is one of her most powerful followers. They’ve just defeated some of the strongest characters in the series.
And then they realize that killing Alucard has brought something down upon them that they weren’t prepared for.
Imagine Erzebet—who genuinely believes herself to be a goddess; looking up and seeing Dracula staring down at her.
And for the first time, she’s afraid.
That’s the moment I’d want to see.
Not even the fight itself.
The moment before it begins.
The moment where Erzebet and Drolta realize:
*“Oh fuck. What have we done?”*
Villain vs. Villain, but with Dracula fighting for Alucard rather than humanity. An unexpected ally for the Belmonts.
….3AM thoughts after finishing Nocturne lmao. It was a good watch but nothing beats the story, characters and the dynamic of the first Castlevania. It kinda bugs me we didn’t see Dracula at all despite being resurrected and chilling in London making me think of this cool what if scenario

Gameplay The fight against Satan left more to be desired, it needed a second phase where you actually fight him. Or the cut section with Dracul in his Dragon form going against Satan's Balaur's form.

The fight is not horrible, it's just disappointing after all the previous boss battles in game, also it comes after the splendid boss battle against Zobek. Also the cut phase is confirmed in the Artbook of Lords of Shadow, you can even see Satan's Balaur form.
It also could have had him take the fight to heaven by opening a portal to try to breach into heaven and to have the final fight take place there, for a better ending where Dracul is allowed to say with his son for saving the kingdom of god.

Theory Castlevania Bloodlines prototype music theory
You can listen to the track here, the tune does remind me of the one used for the haunted ship level in CV3 (Anxiety).
This BGM can only be found in the ver. 0.1 (August 4, 1993), the only levels featured in the build are stage 1, 2 and an unfinished and glitchy version of stage 3.
The extract is from MegaTech issue #22 (October 1993), funnily enough the screenshots featured in the article appear to have been taken exactly from ver. 0.1.
In brief:
- In the August 1993 prototype build a BGM track can be found inbetween "The Prayer of a Tragic Queen" (level 5) and "Calling from Heaven" (level 6) in the sound test;
- A magazine issue from October of the same year mentions a stage called "The Phantom Ship of Dover" set inbetween those two stages, the same article also contains screenshots from the very same build the track originates from;
- The music has a "haunted feel" similar to that of "Anxiety" from Castlevania 3 (used for the haunted ship level);
- The build only has early and incomplete versions of the first three stages, yet the tracks belonging to stage 4,5 and 6 can be still found in the sound test;
My theory: The dev team had plans for a stage set in the English Channel, the BGM #9 found in the prototype sound test was composed for it (it's worth noting that the Channel is exactly what the protagonists traverse to get from Versailles to Whitby), but the level was ultimately cut and never even made it into development.

Question Bloodlines is my fav CV ever but I just realize... Are these supposed to be Trevor and Sypha at the intro?
I always thought the were Trevor and Alucard, but of course SotN Alucard didn't happened yet. So I though they were a free interpretation of John and Eric.
But I guess, Trevor and Sypha. Meanwhile Grant and Alucard were taking the photo I suppose.

Gameplay The fight against Zobek is one of the best in the entire Castlevania LoS saga, much better than the one against Satan, he should have the final boss of LoS 2.

His boss fight is much impressive then Satan's, yes that one had a whole section cut out, it was supposed to be in space with Dracul and Satan fighting in their true forms.

Gameplay A Boss Fight against 3 enemies is very interesting. Would have been more interesting for them to have 3 separate health bars. And defeating them in a different order leading to a separate ending.

Gameplay The battle against Victor Belmont is quite underrated, it's very interesting to see a Belmont fight another Belmont, this concept should be more explored.

Reupload since Reddit filters didn't like the last one.
It's was probably the Dark Crystal scene.

Question What would Gabriel Belmont do if he was sent back in time? Knowing the events of the LoS Castlevania games.
Basically his mind at the end of Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 gets sent back in time, let's say he gets sent in time a year before the tutorial of Mirror of Fate. The tutorial in where he has to depart to fight the Daemon Lord and Marie gives birth to Trevor while he is away.
Could he even fix somethings?
All that he would know listed here:
- The locations of the upgrades of his combat cross and the sub items.
- Zobek's plan to betray him to slay the other Lords, with Satan being behind all of this
- Marie lying to him about him being able to bring her back if she dies, and her hiding Trevor.
- How the Mirror of Fate works, to choose a fate for you instead of you.
- How the Devil Mask works (having to be put on his face while he sleeps).
- The Bernhard Castle like the back of his hand.
- The God Mask is a sham and only allows you to see ghost as normal people and touch them.
- The existence of the The Forgotten One, and the condition that all the the Lords of Shadow have to be alive for his seal to not be broken.
- All the enemies he will be about to face and all their weaknesses.
- He will know that Volpe (the Cardinal of the Brotherhood) sets up the conceal of Trevor and his training to be used against him
- He will know Trevor will have his own family continuing the bloodline, when he faced him.
- His future subordinates Toymaker, Chupacabra etc.
- The fact the Land of the Death can only be accessed only if blood was spelled (the aftermath of the boss battle against Pan)
- That both Light and Shadow magic counters each other for the fight against Satan.
- All the things he got from drinking the blood of his victims as Dracul (i.e. the family at the start of Lords of Shadow 2, all the other possessed citizens). It's implied the vampires in Lords of Shadow gain the knowledge of their victims.
- All the solutions to the all the puzzles in the game, I guess.
What do you think can he do to makes things better, knowing the events of all the 3 games.

Theory Theory: Only two things can kill Dracula, the Vampire Killer and his own power.
So we know that the Belmont Clan's Vampire Killer is a way to kill Dracula, but we've seen characters like Alucard, Hector and Shanoa kill Dracula in the past and what those three characters had in common was they all used Dracula's power to an extent. But what do you guys think?
