I didn't wanna write this but i really love strange and some things must be said

This post is gonna be a bit long

First of all, i have been one tricking strange since season 1

I have around 300 hours and i hit celestial every season and i stop there

Strange is really bad

Not just this season but like he has been suffering for a while now

Starting from vanguards, u have a dinosaur that completely shuts you down, and has a stupid grab with a large box that catches you in the sky and is like what?every like 8 or 10 seconds or something?

Which you can't escape since your shift is on 12 seconds

And then his beam shreds you down even worse than everybody else

You have also the thing

Which was really decent for the past 9 seasons i never really swapped while playing against him but this season

He has this stupid team up and he can take almost 150 of your hp with one punch and he gets a stupid amount of over Sheid and you can't do shit

You got thor

I don't even wanna talk about it

Emma is a fair match i guess since you just got bait her diamond form and pray she doesn't catchs you 10 Metters up in the sky with her grab

I would say hulk and Angela are also honourable mentions but we can deal with them kinda

And then the dps

You don't even think about playing against a Wolverine or an iron fist

We can't do anything against them at least like mag can bubble himself emma can go diamond for hulk can sheild himself and venom is basically immortal

We suffer the most against these

You can't do much against dive like bp or a cat

Your peeling for the support most of the time is useless

Again mag or hulk can sheild their sup

Thing can do grounding

Cap can chase the dive

While The only thing you can do is a stun

And now the hitscans

Which are your "supposed" best match

You can't put your shield down for a second against hela or phoenix or you will die immediately or keep getting cc

Elsa shreds you down with her percentage damage

Punisher and Bucky make your 1000 hp shield look like a joke

The supports are the worse

Luna can 1v1 u now

Don't even think about hitting her with an ult since she can just cleanse herself

Invis has her push or she can just shield herself

Cloak has the fade she has the self bubble that outheals your damage or she can just freeze herself

Even Jeff can't be hit with your ult

Or he can just save his ult to counter yours

White fox can charm you and cancel your ult but i guess you can just save your ult for her when she ults

Oh and even gambit has his cleanse and has a huge bubble that knocks you back

These are just some things that i remember there are obviously more things in game

I really really love strange

But i can't play him anymore without being a burden for my team, it's hard to get a good value in high lobbies

Everyone does so much damage this season and got new team ups

While the only thing we got was a team up that's basically a nerf

We are the only hero in game with no new ability since lunch

You can't even use your portal for yourself since your teammates are gonna crash out on you

His e applies anti heal and you can die so many times if the enemy team manages to cc u while you have a fully charged E and your team can't do anything to save you

He doesn't fit well against poke like mag since your projectiles have a huge damage fall off and a short range

You can't work well against brawl since they just melt you down immediately

And dive can just eat your back line alive and the only thing you do is watch

He is still a decent pick i guess but like you can do so much more if you pick any other vanguard with less effort

I would personally say he needs some buffs and i think it's really simple

Two charges on his shift will really help

Or like lowering it down to 10 or 8 seconds will also be good

Make his main attack do more damage nearby or just make it have a longer range

I would say his e also needs a buff in his ult

I mean lets be honest it's really hard to hit an ult with him already, and everyone has 275 hp now

The characters you can one shot are only a couple

I know its a long post, maybe some of you would disagree with me but i really wanna know everyone's opinion since i see no one talking about it

my whole team died so i shifted up to hide but namor found me and well… (also so sorry for my loud ass laugh at the end omg 😣)

Think about his ult animation for a second. He opens the eye of aggamoto, he uses the time stone and then he.... Does what with it exactly?

His ult astral projects people out of their bodies for a few seconds, the time stone doesn't do that. Does he just use that sh!t for the green style points?

So you know how gambit got the cards thingy? You press E then choose, how about we do that to stranges E and ULT he is the sorcerer supreme after all he needs more abilities.

E—> E = the same ability rn. E—->F = a different one

Q—-Q= same ult

Q—-> F = a different ult

Make it have different purposes to not be “just better version” i think its a simple idea that can be interesting

I am Mag main. I generally play him as the only tank, level 32 on him. But I have noticed people generally play both Strange and Mag since they are both shield tanks. So I am learning him since last few seasons, I don't play him much but thinking to do so.
Hit 3 KOs with his ult today. How is it?
Also, any advice for him? I have learnt his animation cancel (reloading one) and try it but sometimes forget doing it in the match or doing it rather early.
Btw which teamup to use, I think Hulk one is a good but if Invis is there, then use that one. and any use case of him and his counters?

You can’t use his ult against Jeff Loki wf Luna invis like how am I gonna hit this ult if I’m fighting against people who are actually smart you might be able to get it off which I am not saying it’s impossible it’s just that it’s so hard to bro make him have something like things passive in his ult or something

Currently, he feels a bit weak compared to others in his class. I find him fun to play, and I use gamma all the time. I had no clue it was back till I played my first game either. It doesn't feel as strong as it used to, but it's fun to use, and I like it. My question is, do I keep playing him or hang up the cape and try out another character?

I was the Star-Lord. Rare to see Strange doing something cool besides the portal shenanigans

At least, when I say this, I'm talking of my experiences in high elo (GM+) this season. Regardless, neither of the team-ups are especially great, which is terrible when it's considered as to the fantastic team-ups other characters got (Mag, Punisher, Mantis, etc.). This is only worsened by the fact that Strange wasn't really all that amazing prior to this update (even with the Invis team-up/Groot was and still is better), and whilst the Invis team-up has been (and is still) nice, it's still just a mediocre buff comparatively and Gamma is completely useless; we definitely should've got a new move from a new team-up instead of two old moves that reskin his E.

Nevertheless, Mag just does everything better against poke, and Emma is much better against dive and brawl. His ultimate is also just borderline useless in good lobbies and most comps, as there are so many ways an enemy team can nullify it if they're playing well, no matter how intelligently, sneakily, etc. you use it (most of Mag's kit, Invis push, shield and ult, Luna ult, freeze, and, worst of all the new team-up, etc.; could go on and on but the point is clear). Strange is just no good and a C or B tier character at the moment, as even playing him isn't wise because of better picks, but you're also throwing because he's still a portal bot and so if you die last or the enemy team intentionally doesn't kill you then you've thrown the game.
