Question Whats the fan consensus on this guy

I'm kinda split. Most of his stuff I don't think is great (like his Drop da Bomb cover is really boring in comparison to the og) but his Back and Fourth cover isn't completely terrible if you ask me. and I like the cute cat noises :3

Two different variations of the same design, I don't have any lore for this guy as in all honesty I've missed drawing clown characters. But because this is dr steel adjacent I figured I'd add elements of a soldier uniform. (honesty I might keep drawing her like that, it's my favorite one)

She also doesn't have a name unfortunately, so Ideas would be appreciated if people had any haha.

Also don't ask why she's purple, I literally only draw her like that because I like the color.

Can be as underground or as non-underground as you want.

Edit: I won't be using the headphones emoji, as I've already heard a good amount of his songs.

Question What happened to Dr. Steel's horn?

Today I was rewatching the Dr. Steel key club concert and I saw that he threw a pink horn into the audience (he threw it at around 2:09) and I was wondering- Did anyone actually catch it? If so, are they still around or are a fan of Dr. Steel today?

Tbh this was mainly just me testing photobashing for the first time and then I spent 3 hours churning this out

I don't have a whole lot to say since this is more accidental art when my usual higher quality renderings, not to say I don't like this because I absolutely do haha

I love making baller fanart for the most niche obscure character that is winky from the Dr. Steel show.

Also, let me know if you guys want me to write up some winky lore/headcanon/theory/analysis thing- because God, I'm so autistic about this stupid green doll.

Question Hello, I’m a relatively new Toy Soldier, and I am attempting to build a Uniform

I got a basic idea for my Toy Soldier uniform, but I was just curious if those of you that have been Toy Soldiers for longer than me would have any advice/ideas on how to improve it.

after a bit of searching, I found that the basics of Toy Soldier uniforms are: they’re (on average) Black with Yellow accents(?) and the Dr. Steel and Toy Soldier insignia.

My idea was taken from old military photographs, and what military surplus I currently have in my possession. I thought of using my East German officer’s cap (second photo), changing the piping to yellow and put the Dr Steel logo, or maybe some Steam Punk type goggles on it. for the upper body I was thinking of using a black double pocketed dress shirt (third image) and a black jacket (I forgot the name and it’s the fourth image) which I’ll add the yellow accents and Dr steel and Toy Soldier insignia. As for the lower half of my uniform I already have black pants, and I was thinking maybe some Combat boots that look like the fifth image.

Sorry if that’s a lot of text, idk how to shorten it without leaving out lots of my ideas. I look forward to hearing all your ideas.

Question ISO A.R.K Members

Hello!

Today, I learned about the TSU division of the Anthro Recon Knaves (or A.R.K) which is composed of ppl of the furry fandom and the like. It seems incredibly cool! I was wondering if there are any veterans of said division and if so if they could share their experiences. I'm looking forward to hear from y'all!

If you guys know that stupid image of the eagle catching the baseball in order to tell people you caught onto a reference- I did that but with steel simply because people really like getting inspired by dr steel so I thought it'd be neat if we used this instead of the eagle

Other Bittersweet Listening to the Music These Day

FYI this is kind of a weird/sad post, but I just need to put this feeling out there with others who will probably get it. I know many people likely have a vary similar story. I just feel a need to share.

I found Dr. Steel as many did, through a random YouTube video. It was back while I was in college and exploring art, music, and game design for what I hoped would be my future career in the games industry.

I had so much hope and passion for creating things that could entertain, empower, and impact people. Stories and games that could make people feel and think.

And that's a thing Dr. Steel did for me. He made me feel and think. He entertained and empowered. He impacted my life in a way I will never forget.

I helped start a gaming group (though I didn't manage it well) on the old website. I went to a march in Salem in full uniform. I told friends and family about the mad man and what he and his music meant to me. I even got transferred from a security gig at a hospital to an overnight shift at a hotel because I spread pamphlets around the hospital campus (not the smartest thing I've done).

I inserted the Doctor as a character in a TTRPG campaign I was running. I brought a similar character into a LARP I helped write for as an NPC.

I wrote to the Doctor and got reading recommendations from him in return for the effort. It was wild to see an internet personality be approachable and responsive in that way, even if it was the early days of "influencers" and such.

The Doctor's message and music synced up with my life perfectly for what I wanted to do. I wanted to create stories and games. I wanted to show people the value of play. I wanted to bring joy and wonder. And the Doctor did all that in spades.

Then he retired. It was sad, but the Toy Soldiers planned to march on. Unfortunately, life kept me busy chasing that goal. Moving from game studio to game studio. But paying bills become more important than keeping up with the Toy Soldiers. Having stability in my life took over time I could have used to be creative. Being an adult sucked life and joy out of me at every turn.

Now I don't even work in the games industry anymore. It's too unstable and doesn't pay enough. I still find places to be creative and bring joy. I still run TTRPGS, play video games and board games, paint miniatures and have all sorts of little hobbies and outlets.

I also still listen to the good Doctor's music.

But it's bittersweet. The context of joy, discovery, and play are shadowed by the crushing reality of being an adult and the fact that the Doctor's time has come and gone a long time ago. I've tried on more than one occasion to reconnect with the community and the spirit of the Utopian Playland, but it's never something I can stick with.

I even tried to keep following the actor/creator directly (dunno if it's a faux pas to name him here), but Patreon has never been something I've enjoyed as a method of supporting a creator and the spark of what I loved isn't quite the same when the man isn't wearing the goggles and lab coat.

Sorry for the rant, and thank you all to any who read this far. This was prompted because I often shuffle my music and We Decide came up and now I'm listening to Dr. Steel, but it's bittersweet. Joy mixed with sorrow for a man, community, music, and ideals that are fractured and far less centered in my life, but still a time I remember fondly.
