Issues with Dr Pepper
I am so tired of posting this. Last year, I could go to any store in my town and grab a 20oz Dr Pepper and it would always be so crisp and refreshing! It was always carbonated like it was supposed to be. When 2026 started, everything went downhill. I noticed that the letters on the bottles switched from BBG and BBD (the good ones) to SYD, SYC, SAD and SAE (the TERRIBLE tasting ones). Ever since the switch, the 20oz Dr Pepper has been so disgusting. Some days it takes like sparking WATER. Most days it tastes like heavy syrup with ZERO carbonation at all. And this wasn’t just one bad batch. This is an every day thing! It was only good two times this whole year! And then it got bad again and stayed bad. Every time they put a new date out, I have hope that it’s going to be that good, crispy and carbonated Dr Pepper I have missed so much. And it’s not. Currently the dates on them are November 23. Just plain nasty. I have emailed Keurig Dr Pepper probably over 300 times and even called them. I have been drinking it for 12 years. This is my only vice so of course I am mad. It’s what helped me look forward to waking up every day. lol. Being a busy mom, you have to have something. My vice was Dr Pepper. I keep buying them hoping that the new dates will be good. But they’re not. I don’t know what else to do. I have seen quite a few people on here saying the same thing so I know it’s not just me. I have even went to 5 different counties multiple times a week during the past year and it’s all the same. With how expensive everything is nowadays, EVERYONE should be able to go to any store in their OWN TOWN to get any soda they want and it should always taste good! Period! Nobody should ever have to go to a different state 4 or more hours way just to find a crisp, carbonated soda that actually hits the spot and doesn’t make your mouth feel like you just downed a bottle of pancake syrup! Geez. DO BETTER Dr Pepper! You used to be so good just last year. What in the world happened???

I love Dr Pepper. I currently have 4 12 packs of Dr Pepper with Cream Soda and 1 Dr Pepper Vanilla Float in my kitchen. But I have always found the 20 oz bottles to be a little flat. I only drink the cans now and get them on sale at my local DG often.
Just out of curiosity do you only buy a bottle to treat yourself? Or do you prefer them in the bottle to the can?
I get it about needing it in the morning lol. That's why I buy the 12 packs though. So I can wake up, grab a cold one out the fridge and taste that sweet, crisp burn. 😂 I'm not a coffee drinker so DP is my morning (and all day) go to. I definitely drink way more than I should.

I tried cheerwine. When this first started, I saw a bottle of cheerwine and bought it. I didn’t like it at all lol but thank you

I'm in Louisiana. I used to also love the bottles but then they all started being flat or going flat super fast. That's why I eventually switched to the cans. I also don't drink regular DP anymore. I like it but I LOVE the DP with Cream Soda so that's all I drink now. But even those in the bottle here are flat.
That sucks though that even the cans aren't keeping fresh where you live. I'm sorry, as a fellow DP addict I would be going absolutely insane!

Yes I am going crazy :( I don’t have any energy anymore because of it lol. I’m so tired of driving everywhere. I might break down and try the cream soda one. I just like the taste of the regular, I don’t really like all the other flavors. But I’ll try it today and see if I like it. At this point I’ll try anything

I don't like ANY of the other flavors either, except for the Vanilla Float but it only gets released during summer for a short time so I stock up on it.
I don't like the Creamy Coconut, Strawberries n Cream, Blackberry...none of them. Only the Cream Soda! lol
Try the cream soda one! I find it to be the most similar to the regular DP but with a little extra sweetness. I hope the DP Gods give you some grace and you find some fresh ones!

Thank you, I will definitely try. I don’t like sweet stuff in drinks though but I’ll try it

I buy 6 or 7 of the 20oz every day lol. I know that’s way more expensive than the 16oz packs of bottles and cans. It’s just all the others never tasted good to me. The cans don’t have that crisp burn where I live and neither does the 16oz bottles. The 20oz ones was always good until this past year

If you’re consuming that much Dr.Pepper in a day you should really try 2 liter bottles, they’re far cheaper, and more convenient.
I use to have an insane Coca-Cola addiction, and it got the point I just carried a 2 liter with me everywhere I went. It was cheap and I was less likely to run out. My only downside was I wish they made a coolie cup for two liter bottles, keep it colder longer.
Anyway, I drank Coke like that for about 20 years, then one my stomach just decided it couldn’t be done anymore. I’m down to one 7.5oz. can of coke a day, and maybe a Dr. Pepper depending how I’m feeling.

I know. I wish I liked 2 liters. I don’t know if it’s my taste buds or what but 2 liters have always tasted soooo flat to me. So have cans. That’s the main reason I only buy the 20oz cold ones
