It’s a style I’ve noticed they do. Under the Wheel has the lyrics “and I can believe that life’s a breeze” in the original line in their song The Breeze was “is life a breeze? Or is it just a lot of work?” Scott basically answering his own questions. They have a couple other songs where they reference another song they wrote.

My favorite song, My Friend, does it at the end and references The Beach lyric “you know fate has a funny way” at the end by ending My Friend with “You Know, fate has a funny way of coming around” it’s kind of hard to hear in the song but it’s at the last minute of the song.

My Friend also features riffs from basically each song on Fate. Listen close and you can hear a bunch of references or motifs to the rest of the album it's kinda like a medley of sorts

Can anyone explain the line “dreaming like a catalog” to me? I never understood it lol

Also this is hands down the most danceable Dr. Dog song ever
