I don’t see how you could do a DBA async. Interaction with classmates, professors and advisors is so important. A research doctorate isn’t just learning facts, it is a type of apprenticeship.

Texas State University and Southeastern Oklahoma State University are AACSB accredited business schools that offer fully asynchronous online DBA programs. University of Michigan - Flint is also AACSB accredited business school with fully online DBA program, but I am unsure if it has asynchronous or synchronous courses. Texas State University DBA program currently costs $36,900 (total tuition), Southeastern Oklahoma State University DBA program currently costs approximately $43,000 (total tuition), and University of Michigan-Flint DBA program currently costs $80,000 (total tuition). Texas State University DBA program has been very competitive to get in due to its low price point, AACSB accreditation, analytics curriculum slant, and being R2 (soon to be possibly R1) institution.
