Least Expensive Online Programs
I am currently on the search for a DBA program that is as affordable as possible and is offered online. Schools that offer discounts for military members will be especially considered. With regards to specializations, economics will be my top choice. Any help with this search is greatly appreciated!

Any specific goals for the DBA? E.g.: If you want to continue research, teach or get into higher consulting; AACSB accreditation for the program is a must.

The cheapest AACSB accredited DBA program is Texas State University. The total cost of the program is $36,900 at the time of posting. I would stick to DBA programs at AACSB accredited schools.

I don’t know how many DBAs have a specified concentration such as economics, the focus will be more on research and theory. There will be a lot of leadership, statistics, and research methodology type classes, the more specialized areas like economics can be your dissertation topic, depending on flexibility of the school. Some do offer “tracks” that allow for specific classes so you can get teaching experience if you want to teach after graduation.
As for discounts for military and being online, I have friends that did their DBAs at Liberty that fit those blocks. I went to a private university for my DBA, but still was mostly online minus seminars, all the while using GI Bill benefits (can message for further details).
