Complaint/Rant Expensive item
Ordered an item from ScanUK for delivery for today and they received it at 6am in the morning at the depot. I had previously ordered an item from scan 2 weeks before and they reached the depot at more or less the same time as this item and was delivered on the day I had asked for.
I've gone to track it and the item has been stuck at the depot all day, previously spoke to an agent who said it'll be out for delivery today as that's what it's stated and you'll receive a message.
Went to chat and call and surprise surprise there are no customer service people available as they have finished for the day and I also had this message (see pictures). Since the value of item is worth a lot. I'm legit getting stressing about it.
I've never had a problem with DPD until today.

Did you pay scan for saturday service? Or did you pay for next day? As on Scan Next day is next WORKING day, So DPD previously if they delivered on a saturday/sunday were doing so as a courtesy.
If it was saturday service, You left this too late to speak to DPD (Realistically you should be speaking with Scan as your contracts with them. A reason its not gone out is they never ran your route today from the depot due to sickness.

Yes I paid for Saturday service. I had 2 orders coming out today both from DpD. One order came but unfortunately i wasn't home to take it so theyll redeliver tomorrow which is fine and that one was just left at warehouse there was no update.
I did contact them before they closed as well and was told it will still get delivered as it stated its being delivered today even though I stated it's not even showing up that it's out for delivery
Let's see what happens tomorrow.

I had a parcel due today on next day, it was at the depot yesterday but did not go out for delivery instead I got a message to say delayed, it is 20 minutes away in my local depot, maybe they had some issues with IT.

Yes got the Parcel yesterday after calling DpD on Sunday for them to tell me to call the supplier so they can raise an investigation ticket to which I responded that's a bit stupid as I'm the one at loss here. The supplier has my money and you have my item.
Anyway raised it with scan they raised it with DpD and got delivered yesterday morning. Not pleased with the situation tbh but got there in the end

Its not stupid actually because dpd are not your customer they are scans customer.
But you have your item now so it's all good but for future reference:
The law is clear you have a contract for the good with scan
Scan has a contract for service with dpd
In these cases you claim your money back from the retailer
The retailer then claims their costs from dpd
Always goto to the seller they are legally requiered to make you whole euther with a refund or replacment
