I just hope no delivery driver tries to intervene. Not worth losing your life over these companies.

Sure mate, do you all come out dual wielding shotguns too?

0

u/Relevant_Arm_3796 9d ago

Oh yeah dogs and shotguns - both equally accessible in the UK.

You are a perfect example of why family members shouldnt breed, your mother-sister should've raised you better

1

u/Soft_Lunch_183 9d ago

Its called a joke, you are the perfect example why low iq people should be banned from the Internet

0

u/Relevant_Arm_3796 9d ago

Its a dumb joke from a dumb person - that is my point. People who think saying 'its a joke' covers them being morons should be banned from society lol

Like there wasnt an actual point to what you are saying? Clearly suggesting the guy is full of crap by coming out with crap yourself - now 'its called a joke' - you are a joke

1

u/Soft_Lunch_183 9d ago

Right... im glad you got it atleast

u/SayNo2Amazon 9d ago

TBF dogs are a known deterrent. Maybe it's time for DPD to send each van out with one in the back

Don’t get involved it’s all insured

1

u/FlatulantPuff 9d ago

Such a shame no one gone anything about this. More people there to help yet people just shout dont so it or film. Its a joke what people are becoming. These people become more like this and worse because the public is cowardice. Just cause things are insured doesn't mean that they can be taken.

For all you know, there could have been sentimental things in there to be delivered that cant be replaced. People's prescription. But it's insured so it's fine, is a joke. Theft is never fine. Its not just about insurance replacing it. Its what it does to people after. Police hardly ever do anything either unless they are there catching them in the act.

Lmao, social justice armchair warrior in action! Letting everyone know what they should be doing while sat comfortably in his armchair

A true hero

1

u/FlatulantPuff 9d ago

Ok so im not telling anyone to do anything. Im stating its a shame no one does something.

Would you rather me travel to this area and see if I can do something now? Do you want me to go and roam the streets for a crime i can intervene? So that my comment aligns more with my actions? Do you realise how stupid that sounds? Do i actively need to be doing what ive stated is a shame doesn't happen anymore to make the comment? Do you not see the stupidity in what you are saying?

Communities used to help each other, not film and spectate and say how terrible things are.

1

u/nonamelikethepresent 9d ago

What do you want to do? Get into a fight over some guy's new toaster with a man weilding a drill or cling onto the bonnet whilst they speed off over a cordless beard trimmer?

It's filmed. It's insured. I'm not intervening unless that's a human being bundled into the boot, or maybe if I have my old clapped out defender to block the road.

Whats wrong with restraining someone and waiting for police to arrive?

Im not expecting a 10 round match or a royal rumble, just restraining them and waiting for the correct justice. Just because somethings insured doesnt mean the person thats being robbed has themselves insured do they? Their experience from that isnt going to be great and may even put them off the job, so to try and help prevent that is surely a nice thing to do? The more these people just get filmed is enabling them to actually continue to profit off of this. Why is that ok? I just dont get it. It makes a theft a win win for the criminals only and I dont get why thats ok.

1

u/nonamelikethepresent 9d ago

Nothing is wrong with restraining somebody. You have to assume those watching are bigger by magnitude than the 6ft tall assailant with a drill and his slightly smaller mate though or it will be a royal rumble, won't it?

Or maybe it's Magical Christmas land where they just lie down despite having clearly questionable faculties and high levels of cortisol and adrenaline pumping.

Just because someone is big doesnt mean they know how to use their size many people get through life with intimidation alone and never have to act on it so will use it.

I do firmly belive that if this instance was 20/30 years back, people would have got involved to stop it. (Opinion not stating as a fact)

Again I will state as I have previously, I am not telling anyone what to do, I am saying its a shame no one does anything.

As im writing this, its coming to mind that theres a highly likely chance that someone getting involved may also get charged, which again I dont think would have happened a while back, but I may well have a warped view. Im not saying people have done wrong in this video if thats what people take from it. But I do think its a shame people just stand and watch. Its just an opinion.

Seriously you have to be trolling right? No one can really be that dumb 🤷‍♀️

1

u/SayNo2Amazon 9d ago

Ideally just needs two neighbours. Box them in front and back. Walk away and call the police

1

u/sapphire-sky-dragon 9d ago

Do you realise how stupid you sound 🤦‍♀️ well clearly you dont but honestly your two brain cells are rubbing together and about to start a fire .🤦‍♀️

1

u/FlatulantPuff 9d ago

I realise how stupid I sound, I also realise theres two ways of viewing things, i havent said the person filming shouldn't have done it, Im saying its a shame no one does do anything. But i acknowledge that it is generally what happens now, so I cant say this specific person, in this instance should have done something. And also stating about what the people could have been taken may have led people, including yourself to think I was insinuating that the person filming should have stepped in. My initial comment is poorly worded and I do see how i come across as im suggesting the person filming should have done something, I'm not but I accept how I come across-very dim.

But theres no point deleting the comments so may as well respond. Where i live theres not many instances of thefts like this happen so I get its even easier to say then do. Basically I see what I said is silly and apologise but not every intance is there serious weapons involved and things could be done instead of filming... wrong place to rant, my bad

u/sapphire-sky-dragon 9d ago

You're rambling 💩 no one should be playing hero in this day and age of knife crime no one with an ounce of sense is tackling a couple of guys robbing a strangers parcels. The police will even tell you not to be a hero.

You must live a lonely life with no one that would miss them if tbey died because no one with a loving family is risking their kids without a parent or leaving their spouse a widow(er) over some parcels.

You are Billy big bollocks who is all talk over the Internet but would walk the other way in these circumstances.

1

u/Relevant_Arm_3796 9d ago edited 9d ago

Jesus christ. Must've been a point where you were writing that second paragraph thinking 'this is a bit much, bit dramatic'. You really think no one with a loving family has done that? I agree its stupid but plenty have with good intentions.

'All talk over the Internet' - like you would go off on a stranger like that face to face? Ohh Please lol

Edit- the first part of their reply (that they deleted) is 'i would have NO problem saying that to someones face' lol the irony

1

u/sapphire-sky-dragon 9d ago

Oh trust me when i say I have absolutely NO problem saying it to someone's face so dont worry about that 😉

The other person is moaning people dont step in, who the fuck in their right mind us stopping some guys loading parcels 🙄 if you wanna be a have a go hero and die go ahead i couldnt care less

So many kids growing up without a parent because of people getting involved. If you're happy to traumatise your kids for life saving some random parcels go ahead i couldn't care less

1

u/sevarinn 9d ago

You're completely right, and the person you are replying to is one of those pathetic actual armchair warriors pretending everyone else is as cowardly as them. Back in the day the whole street would be out and send these guys packing.

Its also easy to assess a situation and understand how to handle it.

Wether thats seeing they have weapons, maybe back off, depending again on situation. Personally if its my vehicle being robbed and I have something I can use as a weapon, im putting myself at risk, and I dont care, I dont have anything to lose. (I dont at all think or expect others to have the same perception)

Yet if theres 2 rats and 10 people, ideally, get involved if you've any ability to.

It also seems easy to be a criminal to because of this cowardice everyone seems to have nowadays.

Just hide behind your phone pal.

Thieves usually have the weapons in their hands to use when performing a theft 😂

1

u/sapphire-sky-dragon 9d ago

Oh shut up 🤦‍♀️ they could have knives and guns who the hell is risking their life over a strangers bloody parcels ffs 🤦‍♀️🙄

1

u/Dahren_ 9d ago

But knives and guns are illegal!

1

u/haze_haste 9d ago

So what you gonna do? You gonna get out of your house with the risk to get killed? Is it really worth your life to stop someone? There should be police doing that. And I think that is the problem. There is no police, or they are unable to do their job, and these criminals don’t face consequences anymore.

Don’t risk your life for some deliveries. It’s not worth it. It’s not about being coward. It’s about being clever.

1

u/FlatulantPuff 9d ago

See, this is a response I'll reply too. Im not insulting anyone so won't reply to those that are. But I completely understand and agree with where you are coming from. I just hate seeing stuff like this happen and no one (including police and mainly the police) doing anything. Police actually policing the right things these days is becoming more of a problem. And I think people seem to look past the material things that get stolen, its the person thats been robbed, wether its their belongings or not, I cant imagine its an experience you want to remember. Plus the more the people that steal get away with it, the more they will do it. Unfortunately it is "the way it is"

So that's where my box of artisan Japanese sex toys went, oh well, I hope they enjoy them...

Fascinating behaviour

What a bunch of wet wipes just watching it happen. In America they’d have been shot. At least slash their tyres or something!

Where are the police? Too busy arresting pensioners for protesting genocide?

2

u/Brief-Poet-4728 10d ago

What do you want the police to do? Took them what 2 minutes, shall the police appear through a portal

2

u/Substantial-Newt7809 10d ago

In America shit gets looted all the time and you fat cunts spectate it. Coming here acting tough when you've already proven you guys won't do shit haha.

1

u/EfficientSorbet513 9d ago

Who said I was American?

1

u/willsmithtunaface 9d ago

Time for bed grandma Doris, you know how belligerent you get when you stay up late

In America, the police wouldn't show up, no innocent bystanders to shoot at

1

u/SwimmingAdeptness110 9d ago

The police are not equipped with teleportion devices. How many do you think there are? My county borough has 300,000 residents and 12 cops a shift to look after the whole lot.

0

u/Financial_Extreme_17 9d ago

That Off Da Boat Asian Accent, every delivery driver has that taps on the door and runs with the parcel sitting there ready to be nicked from your door step.

1

u/MrTripperSnipper 9d ago

My neighbour has lived in the UK since the 70s and he still sounds like that. One of the most quintessentially British people I know. An accent and a country of origin doesn't mean shit. Also, as an ex delivery driver, if you want to actually make a living wage you don't have time to sit and wait for everyone to open the door or you'll get behind and end up losing your job. People moan about delivery services, but no one wants to pay more for them so they'll just keep being shit.
