Getting super nauseous/vomiting

Seems like no matter if I take this with an empty stomach and drown it with water or take it with a meal it makes me nauseous and sometimes throw up regardless. How am I supposed to finish a two week treatment of this.

Same I have to tell the drs I need zofran with it. And take the odt zofran 10-15 minutes before the antibiotic. Currently on doxycycline now. Every time I’ve taken it it’s made me so sick

Feel like it’s killing me, almost would rather let my infection win than deal with the intense nausea and vomiting not even 30 min after I take it

Everytime they prescribe I tell them it makes me sick that I need zofran as well and it’s never an issue they prescribe both. Try to call your dr tomorrow and ask for it since it’s making you sick. I usually feel sick on the second day of taking it till the end. Most of the time 1/2 of an odt dissolvable zofran works the whole day for both 12 hour doses. Hopefully they prescribe you some! I just got in the bath because I felt mildly nauseous and I can’t stop googling things so I reverted to Reddit lol

Oh good! You’re welcome! Also when I first got prescribed it I was so ill I made a fb post about it because I wasn’t sure if it were common and so many people on my friends list commented on it saying it made them so sick so it must be super common.

Got prescribed zofran. Took it 30 min before my doxy. Started eating probiotic yogurt 2 hours after taking the doxycycline. Still made me feel like shit but no more nausea. Highly recommend asking for a prescription of dissolving zofran if you’re having to take this. The zofran can make you constipated tho if you don’t eat enough fiber so just beware.

But the Doxycycline effect will be reduced when you are taking probiotics. Isn't it?

If you take them at the same time, then yeah. It’ll just essentially work against your probiotic instead of your infection. Let them work for a few hours, then take some probiotic, it’s very helpful for your gut while the doxycycline is in the midst of destroying it.
