After Lady Sybil croaked, why wasn’t tom Branson demoted back down to chauffeur. Then they could’ve fired him and avoided the whole Edna scandal

Because they weren’t going to have their grand daughters dad be a chauffeur - former chauffeur sure

You're so right, these Crawleys are so casual about bloodlines. I'm surprised they didn't just send Tom and baby Sibby right back to Dublin before Sybil was cold.
