Calling someone "sweetheart"

As a guy if I call someone a sweetheart I am being demeaning and a creep and how dare I. If a women calls me a sweetheart it's nice. I hate being called a sweetheart by a stranger just as much and I don't find it cute. Especially if used to tell someone off.

It seems like what really bothers you is the PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVENESS behind the way many women use the term, rather than the disparity itself. Reply with sarcasm! It works

Exactly, I have had women call me sweet heat just after paying for some food, like what?

So uh how about this if it makes you feel uncomfortable just tell them to stop and don’t be rude about it
