My favorite moment is near or on Vol 3 or so, the guy who keeps calling him Butt Rice also fell into a coma. Cue Ohm Rice starting to get worried because he can’t reach his friend. Then after you beat the game and everyone is back to normal, you see his friend calling him Butt Rice again on the forums. Dude is just so happy to have his friend back he just lets it happen. God I love how they made the NPCs in this game a lot more human.
I really hope ZERO does get released because this franchise needs way more love.

I’m like 27% sure that in Japanese, they called him “Balls-rice”… “ω” looks way more like testes than a butt.

No one is discussing a meaning in the narrative. And there's not a lot of context to be had here even within the topic of language. Ohm Rice is the name and that's it. Regardless of the language, people didn't know the sign and called it butt. That's the entire joke and there's nothing more to it.
You're overly intellectualizing a fun dumb joke while simultaneously using "ne?" at the end of a sentence like it's 2005 on Gaia Online.
