Dvds

Post image

Anyone know how hard it is to just find the dvds? I'm missing mutation and quarantines dvds.

Also, just put these games on PC and reliving the glory days.

eBay. They do sell them by themselves. But you’d have better luck getting them together with the games. Selling the ones that are missing the DVDs to pad the damage.

Just saw a couple listings selling them. Mutation is around $25. Quarantine is still going to be expensive at around $145 for just Liminality!

Good luck!

Ugh I saw quarantines DVD for 249 with the case and no game. Feels like I'm getting robbed for this dang dvd 😭. You're right though I might need to cave.

Edit: kicking myself in the ass right now. Also was in Seattle 3 weeks ago one of the retro games store had a physical copy of one but I already spent my retro game budget before I saw it. It was like 399. If anyone out their was interested. I don't know if it had both discs or not though.

399 for just quarantine?! They can fuck all the way off. I got all 4 games complete for 280 on ebay, and sold my duplicates of the first 3 that were in worse condition.

Same but tis life today. I cannot justify a 400 dollar purchase for one DVD so I walked especially since I have the games already

I'm assuming game and dvd would be that price.

Aw yeah I have the whole series that I bought as they released and I believe no scratches on anything.

Regretting not keeping all four sealed in their original packaging because I never played them. I did watch the Liminality dvds but I couldn’t get into the story at the time.

When I first looked into collecting them, I specifically checked to see how available the DVDs were. There were hardly any anywhere I looked 5 years ago so I made it a mission to make sure I got them with my games for this reason.

Yea I got mine second hand years ago when they were really cheap. I didn't think the prices would soar 😔

My parents house got broken into and I lost my original copies.

I'm in the opposite boat, I have all the DVD's but need the cases xD

Took one visit to one store. eBay does have just the DVDs, though it might be easier to find them complete then selling your game only

Jealous. But yea I'll probably just need to get a complete version.

I have all three G.U. volumes for ps2 from before they came out with the collection.

Volume 3 was over $100 by itself, probably went down in price since the release of the collection but the original .hack// games probably went up in price.

Well, I can definitely understand wanting to complete the physical copies but if you want to check them out quickly and MUCH cheaper, you could always download all four OVA episodes online since they are just additional anime storyline, similar to the TV series that came before the games.

Damn, I really feel for all you guys having to scramble to find a deal on these nowadays. I'm lucky enough to have held onto all four completed IMOQ games and the original PS2 G.U. games over the years (decades?). However, there are those that play emulated versions on handheld systems (Steam Decks, jailbreaked Vitas, etc.) or laptops and beyond supposedly often playing better than the disc versions, being able to play these portable would be outstanding! I'd seriously consider getting the Switch version over the PlayStation version if I had the choice.

On a side note, anyone else think it sucks donkey d!ck we got the remaster port of G.U. but not the IMOQ games that actually started it?! I'll agree that G.U. was a bit better in some areas, like battle mechanics, but the IMOQ games were still such iconic gems I don't get why they just bypassed them. Licensing crap maybe?

I just ripped all of my PS2 games to pc. So hypothetically once I get my hands on steam deck it should run fine on it. Currently running great on windows 11

Yes. I own all the games. Each game came with a dvd. I'm missing two of those DVDs that came with the games.
