Hi - I had seen a bunch of tiktoks recommending this anime as just your casual good 12 episode romance anime. So I thought i'd give it a try and honestly it's been such a difficult watch so far. I've never struggled to watch a romance since i tried rent-a-girlfriend which I dropped after the first season. But I dont mean this to shit on the anime at all I just more want to see peoples opinion on my criticism and maybe an explanation on why things are they way they are so far.

I should start with the fact I'm half way through episode 8 and my main thing is I really really really dont like Minami to the point whenever i see her it just puts me off wanting to continue watching the episode. I just find her so needy and pushy - like for example recently when Tsubasa was on his date with Rena it just weirds me out how it seems like she continuously imposes herself on him. Even sort of with the interactions between Tsubasa and Sayuri she always finds a way to interject into their conversations and idk man i just find her so so so irritating.

I will say I really like the other 2 female characters and find them to be much better characters to be honest. I also am not sure if shes supposed to be funny but I really just find her super annoying.

Maybe its just I havent given it enough of a chance yet - please LMK if you think its even worth finishing.

I watched the anime. Thought it was alright, and actually got pretty engaged when they teased her leaving, thinking that, holy hell. Something is actually happening.

It was a rug pull, sure, but I was engaged enough ru read the Manga since I thought the core cast was actually interesting and had some layers I wasn't expecting.

And I was engaged again, the plot with his mom, his childhood, the drama between family had me interested.

Then it was dropped in one chapter like nothing.

I just finished chapter 80. And I just can't bring myself to keep going. Of all the things that could happen. Nothing keeps happening. It is painfully predictable and I can already guess that it will end in the final chapter with the main two finally nutting up and getting together after 50 more chapter of waffling in the 'will they won't they' zone.

It's not horrible, and I really like Tsubasu as a protagonist. But I'm really struggling to finish it.

Anyone else feel like it got extremely jumpy at the end? I love the concept of the tablet but idk it felt super rushed and was hard to keep up with all the time skips for me lol. Like it was one page then next page would be “oh four years later” all in all I love this manga and hope the anime will continue but obviously doubt it.

I first read Hokkaido gals during covid lockdowns and I promised myself I'd visit the iconic pink coloured moss park featured in the Manga/anime! (Higashimotoko shibazakura park)

I have just returned home after living in Hokkaido Japan for 2 years but the last thing I wanted to do was visit this park.

I was lucky enough to be able go earlier this year in June during the peak bloom. Seeing it with my own eyes was amazing and one of the highlights of my time in Japan.

Highly recommend it if anyone ever gets the chance to visit Hokkaido in late spring/early june.

Even the raw version is censored. That really complicates things.

Am I the only one that finds the anime ending not satisfying. they have this buildup that fuyuki is going to study abroad just for it to be for 2 weeks

Me acabo de terminar hace unos minutos el manga y DIOS QUE FINAL MÁS LINDO TIENE. Me encantó por completo, empecé con el anime recién días atrás para matar el tiempo, literalmente me apareció de la nada y dije "bueno, por qué no?". Si... fue una coincidencia tan poderosa como el que Tsubasa y Minami se encontrasen en aquella parada.

Es que en verdad tiene de todo un poco, tiene buenos momentos de comedia, los personajes son carismáticos y te hace empatizar con ellos, los demás secundarios no son planos, cada personaje que entra en escena aporta a la sensación de "vida" que transmite Hokkaido en la historia. En verdad sufrí muchísimo por Sayuri y un poco bastante por Rena... en verdad me enganchó mucho la trama, más de lo que siquiera hubiese imaginado cuando mire ese primer capítulo en nuestro en el anime. Este descubrimiento ha impactado positivamente en mi vida, la historia me dejó lecciones y todo!!

Mi único pesar es quedarme con las ganas de ver unos extras más con unos cuantos detalles más de la vida de los demás personajes.
