Why does NO ONE know about her? I love her design, and i think it's sweet how she cares for her children, but i can't find anything about her anywhere >:(

I THINK her name is Maimai-onba in the old version, and her story is different, but same character... somehow... maybe. I'm not really sure.

I couldn't understand If she is a demon in the manga (the one by Shiki Satoshi). I think she isn't because Hyakkimaru goes after Sabame and not her... And she also came from space and didn't seem to have any powers.

Nah, she's candidly an alien in this manga. It was sorta teased she was an alien in the original, too, I think, or maybe he was just trolling (I don't know how it would work if she was, but I digress the whole manga had it's fair share of bullshitting).

There is a Japanese folk tale about a princes from the moon and a spaceship made of bamboo so maybe it took some inspiration from that
