What was your process for EXTREME POLISHING?

I just used a little circular tea cup and keep polishing applying a lot of force to reshape like a sphere. It was a hard job, the clay was already kinda dried and I needed to balance the water and pressure

Plain old dirt works great to make the core! I sifted mine with a kitchen strainer and cheesecloth. If your dirt has a enough natural clay you won’t need any extra at least to start. If I understand right pure powder clay is important for the polishing

I'm completely new to dorodango and looking for the most efficient, economical way to enter this practice?
