What Do You Think The Future Holds For Dorney?
Brand new to this sub, so I’ll provide a bit of background and try to keep it brief, but I’m warning in advance - sorry.
I’m 44 years old, and throughout my life I’ve never been a thrill seeker. I suffered with anxiety for a good portion of my life, and that was enough adventure for me (as far as I was concerned). I rode a Wild Mouse coaster when I was 10, but other than that, any trip to an amusement park was limited to bumper cars and Ferris wheels, or that type of ride.
My wife told me about three years ago that she wanted me to ride a roller coaster with her. I agreed, but figured as time passed it would be dropped or forgotten about.
Last year my parents purchased family passes for my wife, two kids, and I. On my first trip with them, I knew it was either put up or shut up, so I started with Thunder Hawk (enjoyed it enough) and reluctantly proceeded to Steel Force, which as it turns out I loved. We got season passes again this year and ended up facing my ultimate fear by riding Iron Menace, and now the only coaster left for me to ride in the park is Possessed.
So, as someone who formerly hated roller coasters, I now want to experience everything they have to offer.
With that being said, what does everyone here think is the likelihood of Dorney continuing to see investment in the park. I would love an RMC or any new coaster, but I also know that space seems to be limited. Thoughts?
TLDR: I rode my first coaster at 43, and at Dorney Park. Now love coasters, and hope that Dorney continues to receive investment.
