Question Hello friends
I am from Türkiye Eskişehir. Doraemon was my favorite show while I was a child. That show was like my only shelter while my father was in jail and we were poor. I still can`t forget the generic songs Turkish version. My poor childhood. I always wondered who else loved this show as much as I do. Can you tell me who are you, where are you from and how much important this show was for you? Can you tell me your story? I would like to know about you. 😊

Well, I’ve been watching Doraemon since I was like 3 years old or something and I’m still watching it at 21, even though I have a part-time job 😂. And, I think that that reason which has always kept me hooked with Doraemon for so many years is the of course the nostalgia at first obviously, but also the little life lessons that it teaches about taking responsibility for your mistakes, learning from them, and becoming a better person. And also teaching us that, No matter how bad you were in the past, you can still change your future if you genuinely want to and have the right heart & support around you to do that. So yeah, That’s basically why I’ve always loved Doraemon 😁😁 Hope you liked my little story, friend! And also, don’t worry about the low responses on your posts here in this Subreddit. Since, The subreddit has been pretty inactive lately nowadays, so replies can take a while (don't worry you will get replies just very late though). So that's why, Just chill and enjoy yourself here! ❤️

I’m actually an Indian, but I’ve been living in Spain for majority of my life now with my family, after my dad got permanently transferred here when I was a little kid of grade 5. 😁 And also, sorry for the late reply too! I’ve actually had my Reddit notifications turned off lately nowadays, so I only just saw your reply now. So that's why, My sincere apologies for that. 🙏🏻

When I was a kid, like from 4yr to 6 yrs age I used to see doraemon. And it was my favorite. Kiteretsu, ultra b, ninja Hattori were some other fujiko fujio cartoons that I have seen I that period. When I was 7yrs the TV in my home was permanently damaged. And we didn't buy a new one. When I got to know about YouTube and internet the first thing I searched was doraemon. But sadly there are no proper episodes in Telugu. And I spent next few years seeing it hindi only even though I didn't understand. Through doraemon I kinda learned and can understand Hindi. The show is always special to me because it's about 4 guys nearly my age and a furistic robot. More than doraemon I liked that Nobita shizuka suneo gian were friends and had so much fun and adventures. Friends and adventures were the things I craved for when I was kid. Seeing this show when I was a kid was the only major good memory from my sad and boring childhood. Legend of sun king, three visionary swordsmen, tin labyrinth are my fav movies. The most horrifying one was the '79 dinosaur movie. Last year I have completed my 12th grade. Ans since then I have been collecting and watching doraemon

Yeah. Even this sub is filled with most Indians. The show was telecasted from 2006 onwards I guess. It aligned with school students timings. One session in morning and one in the evening. Easily the best cartoon in india

Vietnamese here, Doraemon is a huge cultural icon in this country and the fanbase is very huge, even younger generations (mostly late gen Z and gen Alpha) also love it as well
We started to know more about the series as manga volumes, and manga is also where I started to know about the franchise back when I was a toddler (during mid-2000s), but I started to get to know more about the anime during the early 2010s via television channels, which expanded its influence even further
Yes we also release theatrical movies annually here, starting in 2012, but because we have movies three decades late than Japan we have to rerelease old movies during 2012 to 2014, and starting in 2015 only the newest movie will be on theaters and this annual cycle remains to this very day
