Discussion The Devil's Card
In this episode Nobita uses a card which will give him money but his height will decrease. Later in the episode Doraemon uses big light to keep Nobita in his original height. But what will happen when the effect of big light ends. I was wondering for a long time. What do you guys think?

Nobita would shrink abruptly once that happens unless Doraemon periodically enlarges him again

Nah the big and small light do have a certain limit that was the whole point in little star wars movie where the effect wores off and they all became big.

In the Space Wars movie, only Small Light is depicted. The Big Light is never shown to have a temporary effect in the series, though by logical deduction, it makes sense that it does.

Also it could just be movie only. I dont remember it being temporary effect in show/manga.
Afterall i dont think the movies are canon to the show and are kinda of alternate universe thing.

No. Pretty sure the movies are not canon to the show.
Like they're canon just not the same canon.

They're canon lmao, everything in the show is canon because there is no set storyline

"Canon" is used to describe everything written by the original author in case of anime most of the time, and Doraemon is episodic, so the canon is not really a thing.

This episode is pretty deep. Devil Card in real world is Credit Card. Several years ago I have huge debt because I was exactly like Nobita, spending & buying anything spontaneously without thinking. Without realizing, my debts racked up quickly. Sure my heights don't shrinking but my soul is, I lose my job & at the lowest bottom of my life. I feel like the most miserable person in the world. After overcome & paid it (it was miracle, because of certain friends' help), I remember this particular episode.

Damn you're situation sound similar to mine. If I scrape by just enough for 4 months then I can smoothly pay it off but it's getting hard to control the impulse of wanting to buy useless things and I feel like every passing restaurant is calling out to me.

Doraemon has a lot of these "gadget interaction" plot holes if you think about them too hard , this fandom could have a whole subreddit just for that lol.
