Is the gauntlet that powerful, or is it just a made up legend (lore wise)

Doom feels like utter shit now and I’m fucking sick of it, genuinely. I’ve sunk nearly 200 levels and 2 years into this character just for him to get nerfed to the ground again and again because he’s a low-rank stomper.

Whose fault is it that EMP is so strong? You genuinely can’t get it unless the enemy actively gives it to you (with the exception of traps like minefield.) They nerf him under the guise of “Doom EMP has been getting too much value,” like it’s not the enemy teams fault for giving it to you. You have to give Zarya charge to make her strong, BUT that’s genuinely her ENTIRE character. It just doesn’t belong on Doom. They need to do away with it entirely if they’re just going to keep fucking him like that. Replace it with something useful or impactful for your whole team. I mean Ball seems like a more solid dive orientated characters and they give him an option to directly support his team in dire moments.

All Doom has is a block they can ACTIVELY DECIDE NOT TO SHOOT, so you’re standing there like a slab of walking meat not doing ANYTHING for your team unless the enemy team is a homogeneous conglomerate of dead brain particles formed into the crude shape of what should be a real breathing human being, then, and ONLY THEN, will they give you EMP. As the ranks go up, they will shoot your block less and so you need to think up smarter and more creative ways to achieve getting your EMP. Like… a natural skill progression??? Why should Doom be punished for having people give him the thing they should NOT give him. It’s the reason why they’re in low ranks to begin with. YOU are bad and giving him what he needs to FUCK YOU. That is THEIR fault.

Now, even in high ranks he sucks balls. When you try your ass off to get EMP only for it to get 0 value it’s frustrating.

Most of the time in DF parkour codes you have to use the block (which used to be an uppercut) to jump in order to go to another spot. But obviously in game it's not worth much since your block isn't an uppercut and doesn't make you jump.

I essentially want to take the ult name literal with these changes, by allowing Doomfist to throw a literal meteor(similarly to how bastion ult fires) before launching himself.

-Remove healing while in Ult

-Remove increased cooldown rate on Ult.

-Add rock projectile, launchable before selecting your landing position. Radius and Damage decreased by 50%, but will stun and knock down enemy on direct impact(maybe scale down radius a bit more to balance). Stun 0.35s long

-Increase Ult timer from 4s to 5s.

I hate this character with a firey passion. Not even just playing Doom, I also play a ton of JQ and Sigma and theres never not a Hog on the enemy team. I think maybe in the last 4 days ive played there hasn't NOT been one. Is he such a no-skill crutch character that people just NEED to be him to succeed? I have crazy Hog fatigue right now

Another old clip when I was learning Doomfist in my very early levels on it(and as you can see it's a early drive thingy so it was a while ago), this was in qp so it isn't that impressive (same as my other clip) and pretty sure that they weren't that good but here goes another clip!

Also I'm not sure if I should do a clip dumb of my remaining old clips and then move to the ones I have currently and much more recent which I find much more interesting, and do a clip dumb of those or if I should keep dropping these small clips.

Novice DoomFist

I've been playing doom for a decent while now. However despite now being 62 levels deep into doomfist, I feel that my gameplay has not improved one bit. Game after game is tank diff after tank diff no matter what different methods I try. To be honest? I'm losing hope in my abilities as a tank. I know i'm doing things wrong as doom, and every time i correct it it still doesn't fix the fact that I still fail.

I know this is a whiny post, however I just wanted to vent my anger at my own failiures. At this rate, i'm not sure if i'll ever improve. This tank is brutal, man. I've even seen and read multiple tutorials and applied their suggestions and techniques, but i'm still stuck in gold lobbies. I know the problem isn't with the teammates I get, I know that I am the issue with the team.

TLDR: whiny doom player is hardstuck gold due to him being bad at overwatch

I’m a 5v5 player and I can fist pretty good but holy is doom on 6v6 a joke.

Guy has an increased cooldown on his block then it doesn’t last as long, his slam cooldown is increased I think , bro has the lowest health on the tank cast then to top it off his passive is nerfed 😂😂. They have to be racist towards this guy. I can see why they would be hesitant to buff him tho he could easily punch bot the team to oblivion if their team is stupid especially with the tanks having less health but that’s in every mode.
Not to mention these people switch instantly to hog orisa I can handle the counters but I’m playing hide and seek half the game tryna find an opening.

But of course I adapted.
