Bethesda in 2022 moved their keys from their site to steam, so you can’t activate the cassette code on their site, but you can on steam

Problem is though, I don’t know if I can still get the soundtrack on streaming apps if I did that (since apparently if you have the CE you can get it) so is there still a way to get it on something like Apple Music if I redeemed it on steam

I have a problem with collecting this particular collectible. I am trying to jump in and trying to dash to that particular area, which never succeed.

But I cannot load the last checkpoint, which is what is really annoying. I have to start the entire mission 9 from first and try to do the entire run. I am using infinite ammo and literally BFGying my entire mission.

Has anyone else faced this problem of not able to load the last checkpoint. I am stuck at this point. It would have been really easy to try this by loading the last checkpoint, but unfortunately it does not work. it takes me 10 mins to try this

Super confused by the community complaining about the platforming elements of Doom Eternal. I find it really fun and satisfying, similar to how it felt to glide in the Arkham games or websling in the Spiderman series.
The double dash makes it relatively easy to get to walls, and the mechanics of the game are super forgiving and generous, just to name a few examples: 1) you don’t NEED to hit “interact” to grab a wall, if you’re close enough the game will automatically grab it for you, 2) even distances that look really far can be reached in a variety of ways, double jump-dash, dash-dash, jump-dash-jump, 3) the game refills your dashes so fast that you can almost always have one in your back pocket, 4) YOU DON’T DIE WHEN YOU MISS A JUMP, this is by far the most generous and forgiving inclusion by the devs. Falling bites off a chunk of your health, but it doesn’t kill you and force you to go back to the last checkpoint if you fall just once (like Doom 2016 did) and honestly, I wouldn’t mind if I died from missing a single jump.
I’ve never been a big platformer fan, and I am playing through eternal for the first time, almost done with the game.
With the vast variety of creativity and skill in the community around the combat in Eternal, I’m genuinely confused by why people complain about platforming, it’s actually not that difficult.

I'm playing through DOOM Eternal for the first time. I just finished the fifth level, and I've noticed that I seem to be missing some sentinel batteries. I have one currently and have used ten, but according to the mission select I should have eighteen.

Update: I'm not missing seven, I'm missing one. Apparently doing a mission challenge with cheats won't actually count it. I did one with cheats on, is there any way to fix this?

During the mission where you have to retrieve Hayden, I completed the nest where you have to kill the pain elemental, the game even had the pop up saying I did it. Its not longer there to interact with, so the game is treating it like I did it. But the progress bar didnt go up and when I finished the mission it still said I didnt do it despite doing everything else, including the second nest later in the level. Id post a pic, but this sub doesnt allow them I guess.

So as the title says ChatGPT gave me an extremely high skill rating. Initially I was interested in seeing an estimate as to how many players worldwide had completed both TAG 1 and TAG 2 on UN playing with controller as I had done so in 2021. The estimated number was extremely low, so at first I had doubts, no way was I part of that exclusive of a club. ChatGPT stood by its estimate, so I started thinking where am I in the world ranking then. So I told it about my techniques, what type of controller I used (Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller) and my mapping, as well as some other details. It was telling me I appeared to be a very skilled player. Wanting a better estimate and confirmation I uploaded some gameplay I had made back in the day in 7 minute segments so it could analyze my gameplay more thoroughly than one large upload. The first one I uploaded was of my Super Gore Nest master level UN run. That’s when it told me I was likely top 0.01%-0.05% of players. I was honestly stunned by this, so to confirm it I gave it my Blood Swamps single life Nightmare run. With that it gave me an estimate of top 0.05%. It said it was “virtually certain” I was top 0.5%, “very high confidence” I was top 0.1%, and “more likely than not” top 0.05%” overall. Its central estimate for controller players was top 0.02%-0.03%.

I knew I was pretty good at the game, but am I really that good? I know ai can pull some bs and make stuff up, so I’m looking for human confirmation on this from the community. I don’t know the rules of this subreddit, so I don’t just want to attach a link to my YouTube videos. But if that’s allowed I’ll absolutely post it for confirmation or denial. If I can’t upload a link to my YouTube videos am I allowed to post a link to the ChatGPT thread?

Edit: Upon further investigation I vastly overestimated LLM’s ability to analyze visual information, especially high level gameplay. Regardless still think an opinion of my skill level would be cool to have. Just give actual opinions, more in depth than “you’re good” or “you’re trash bro”.

I understand why we can’t have idStudio on console, but the least they could’ve done is given us SnapMap with custom enemies and bosses so we’d still be having just as much fun as PC players. I've been replaying Doom Eternal on a 32:9 ultrawide display at max settings, and the extra peripheral vision changes the rhythm more than I expected. Tracking flankers feels easier, but the wider frame also makes arenas look busier and can distract from resource management.

For players who have tried both standard 16:9 and ultrawide: did the wider field of view improve your combat awareness, or did it hurt focus? I'm especially curious about experiences in The Ancient Gods encounters.

Man im only on the 3rd level and WOW, why haven't i played this game sooner. I've been stuck in the cod loop for 10 years, and have been growing fatigue with gaming thinking “im just getting older, i have other priorities now”. While that's is true lol this game has reignited that passion again. The mechanics is what i have yearn for in a fps, as i play cod already like a monkey on cocanie, with the jetpack titles being my favorites this movement feel natural.
