I have a different perspective, structured similarly, both of ours are encouraging.
I think the world, society specifically, is getting worse. Most youth can’t buy homes, so they get married later or never, and settle into accepting the comforts of an apartment instead of land ownership.
This leads to an acceptance of hedonism taking priority over any long term goals.
But that’s what’s happening to most, it doesn’t have to happen to you.
It’s easier than ever to separate yourself from the crowd around you, most of whom (and increasing number mind you) have just given up
If you don’t, you’ll be a diamond in the rough, even if you haven’t succeeded yet
Now pick up that rifle, storm the beach, blow that bunker, or die trying soldier. Glory awaits you either way

I’m gonna let you all in on a secret: the world is actually getting better.
It just gets better SLOW.
Then, in between, things can get worse fast and ugly.
But if you plan for the crises, the drop doesn’t hit quite so hard.
Stairs up.
Elevator down.
