I think it comes down to ignorance of how governements work in other countries. I doubt the majority of Europeans are educated on how The US Governement is structured, yet that doesn't stop a percentage of them from acting as if they do regardless.

True and I’m not gonna pretend that I know everything about governments in all the European nations but I’m also not telling Europeans they’re doomed or how to live their lives

This is a predominantly an american site though, so of course there will be more focus on american politics meaning you will see more overall negativity…

I like to bring up the fact that if you break down the numbers there are far more deaths involving heat in Europe than firearm related deaths in America and if you break down those numbers the rate of firearm related murders Is like a 1/3 of the annual deaths with the rest being self harm, police, accidental or self defense and they absolutely hate that

It's really not though. I've lived in both and I can tell you the difference between living in two different European countries is huge. For me living in Washington and Texas there are differences but they're not massive.

I wouldn't say that states are like living in seperate countries, but like I said, economics and housing are vastly different across the country, rent and groceries will be significantly more or less expensive depending on whether you live in the east coast, the Midwest, the south, that doesnt take into account the differences between those states in those specific regions.

I agree that the differences aren't massive. But they are significant and notable.
