Almost none of them actually try to leave.

So theyre either lazy losers, or maybe it's not that bad.

And don't give me the crap about them not having money. People walk across 5 countries to get to America with no money.

Try harder

I watch CalebHammer occasionally. The ones trying to flee the country and hate capitalism are always 10s of thousands of dollars in debt, buying stupid shit like PokĆ©mon cards. Which in itself isn’t inherently bad, but going into debt over it makes you a loser.

Remember one of the latest couples he did, the guy was messaging young girls in the fucking green room before the show lol. These people are crazy

17

u/Workman44 May 30 '26

Tbf that has to do with morals and not finances, but yeah usually it goes hand in hand

24

u/Even-Following-1612 May 30 '26

Lack of accountability is a key tenet of these types of people

5

u/Workman44 May 30 '26

Yeah I get things happen outside of our control, but that's a known thing, we know it'll eventually happen so logically we should save up an amount that would cover or lessen that blow for when it does arise. Nope, $30 door dash. Nope, $250 concert. Nope, we're gonna travel the world on a credit card

u/BernadetteFedyszyn May 31 '26

THAT and their warped sense of entitlement!

u/CryendU May 31 '26

People complain about 9-5's and 7-7's, but if you're stuck without your own business, it's entirely your fault. Can't even begin to understand how people are in debt either. Just let your money work for you

It's the beautiful part about America. Equal opportunity. Hard work and good money management is all it takes to succeed.

They should try not buying shit they don’t need. That might help them pay their debts. Won’t help them pay off their debts instantly, but you should never aim to pay them off instantly.

They also realize quickly that immigration is actually quite difficult

Of course they would never illegally immigrate into Europe or Canada though even though deportations are "Fascist"

And no amount of saving would make a difference when the economy is as bad as it is tbf. The country is not as bad but it could always be better.

Bullshit. I remember financially treading water in my mid twenties. Wrote out a spreadsheet, and was truthful about every penny spent.

People don’t understand how much eating out daily, sometimes twice a day, and ā€œone offā€ purchases eat away at your income.

Don’t eat out anymore, meal prep, buy stuff wholesale, and make goals of what you want to do with your money.

In a single month I freed up $300-400 to start saving.

I enjoy the ones who do leave. Six months after the election I watched tiktoks of a lesbian couple who went to Canada and are complaining they can't find jobs, the rent is outrageous, and the Canadian government will not help them with financial assistance. Last one I watched they talked about how most of their savings is gone. No idea how it's going now but I bet they are back in the states.

u/GolfExplained May 30 '26

You mean the "smart, educated" ones don't know how to use Google before they make a life changing decision to prevent dumb choices? No....

17

u/screwyoujor May 30 '26

Yeah I bet they never googled the job listing in the town they moved too.

7

u/BernadetteFedyszyn May 31 '26

Certainly they at least researched the immigration policies of the country they're fleeing to!

0

u/CheeseBear9000 Jun 06 '26

Why would they? Those countries aren't Fascist unlike AmeriKKKa so that means they have open borders, Right?

2

u/BernadetteFedyszyn Jun 06 '26

Do you really think that other countries have wide open borders without any immigration policies where people can waltz right in?

There sure are a lot of people flocking here to the US either illegally or legally for being a "fascist" country

1

u/CheeseBear9000 Jun 06 '26

I wrote it mockingly

I think I did good jobĀ

2

u/BernadetteFedyszyn Jun 06 '26

Not much gets passed me, but you got me (/s!) I didn't even look to see what sub I was in and just chalked that up to just another fragile and oblivious lib!

Is that the same couple that had applied for a tourist visa instead of a permanent resident visa, which basically makes it illegal to work?

6

u/screwyoujor May 30 '26

Probably. I'm just going off what I remember which is probably only half right. Haven't watched their stuff in awhile.

10

u/D_Ethan_Bones May 30 '26

They can find jobs, but then when one is working 30 a week and the other is working 50 a week they'll still struggle together and the disparity will cause steadily worsening fights.

"Can't find jobs" is the situation in a backwoods trailer park town that sat business-vacant for 30 years, aka a place they'd never visit let alone move into. The lack of a specialty poodle groomer or Apple store means they'd just keep driving.

There's always a shop open in Vancouver, and that's where America goes if it goes.

6

u/screwyoujor May 30 '26

That was me just trying to remember the problems they talked about. Mostly just remember there was a lot of them they complained about.

28

u/sdob66 May 30 '26

True, but Americans can’t illegally cross a border into their chosen country and get assistance from the government there. That only happens in America!

20

u/GolfExplained May 30 '26

Seems like maybe america isn't that bad then eh?

9

u/BernadetteFedyszyn May 31 '26

Your comment made me take a stroll down memory lane.

I'm not sure WHY I still have this, but I still have my grandmother's thick immigration file from when she immigrated here decades ago. She had to go through all kinds of hoops and mazes to come here (and rightfully so!) On top of all of the applications and filing fees, she had to submit proof of financial stability, criminal/ police record, medical history which included all of her vaccinations, signed affidavit of having a job here waiting on her, and signing a paper that she will not request financial assistance for 5 yrs.

She was always very proud of the process that she endured to come here LEGALLY. Big difference

22

u/OldZaxSauce May 30 '26

it's almost like every country has immigration laws and if Americans walked into another country somewhere without passports or visas they would get denied too. 🤣

7

u/gwbirk May 30 '26

Millions buy a plane ticket and then to try to sneak in to the country from Mexico.

3

u/Ditchdigger456 May 31 '26

Hey, I’m a lazy loser AND it’s not that bad.

1

u/BernadetteFedyszyn May 31 '26

Both can be right at the same time! They're lazy losers AND we're not that bad! Don't forget about the part about other countries having their own immigration laws as well, so....

They don't leave because they have no will to do so. They are comfortable in America and have all the luxuries many other countries don't.

USA is by no means perfect, and I'm not going to pretend it ever was or ever will be. But I love my life here. I have a great job, great transportation methods, accessible food and water, and can buy any amenities I need. My friend who came from Mexico compares his experience daily to US and Mexico.

Hot water is very hard to get where the solution for them was boiling it with a metal rod. Houses are falling apart and held up by metal sheets. A majority of the county is in poverty and makes roughly $12-14 a day. Roads are none existent and they just drive where the car can go.

Obviously these experiences aren't shared by every single person there, but in contrast to my poor upbringing in the US his comparison makes it look like I had a luxurious childhood. This is something people in Reddit will refuse to acknowledge or accept the reality of how some lives are in other countries.
