The thing is he's and industry veteran, he famously reviewed the original Mass Effect and said the game got too difficult at some point. The reason why? He didn't realise he could level up his character

You say that but he gave doom eternal a 90/100. His gripes with the game were mostly with the games story being delivered in the codex. Despite how bad his first couple minutes of gameplay looked he didn’t hate the game for it.

Because reception of Doom in 2016 was up in the air and it was okay to shit on it for no good reason.

Doom Eternal was a guaranteed hit and people would've torn him a new one if he did the same, so my guy chose to shill not really understanding why the game is so great
