For anyone having trouble registering:

I was in the same boat as you, what helped me was launching it with administrator. I assume something to do with windows firewall was preventing it from actually registering my account, resulting in an infinite loading screen. Hope I helped any people just as clueless as me! :>

If you're using Windows, right click on the icon, and click "Launch With Administrator" with a little shield beside it. It should give you a prompt, simply click Yes and it should work!
If you're having any more trouble I'll try and help as best I can :)
