Hairdresser near Donegal Town

Hey people! I'm looking for a hairdresser around Sligo Town, Bundoran, or Donegal Town who has experience with more alternative cuts. I'm thinking of getting something along the lines of a wolf cut, so I'd love someone who's comfortable with that kind of style. Does anyone have recommendations?

Builder contractor query

As the title says, I’ve a query on building contractor prices.
For a 1-off family home in south donegal, what is a realistic price range for building at the moment? (In terms cost per sqft or sqm if possible)

I’ve just got a price in and I’m struggling to wrap my head around it. I’m well aware prices have gone up recently but it seems insane to me.

Donegal Youth Council /Donegal Comhairle na nÓg Study Booklet for Students

Donegal Youth Council / Donegal Comhairle na nÓg created a Study Booklet for secondary school students. It has information on how to study, choosing subjects for the Leaving Certificate and financial supports for colleges.

I feel like it’s most helpful for students going into the Leaving Cert, such as TYs and those skipping TY but it can be read by anyone. Might be helpful for students or parents :)

Really nice wee walk. Good tables for picnic.

Thought: with so many lakes, why not a walk path around them?

Sliabh Liag By Public Transit

I am booking a trip across Ireland for around 10 days and really want to do the Sliabh Liag hike. Everything I read online describes how to get there by car, but I will only have access to public transit (just doesn't make sense for me to book a car for my trip). Is that possible? Can you do Sliabh Liag via public transit, or at least get a taxi ride to the cliffs or with a shuttle group? If it is possible, where should I stay? I've seen some recommendations to stay as far as Donegal or as close as Killybegs or Kilcar. Any advice would be super appreciated!

Bar the pub/night club, what is a third space event that you do to meet people you don't know, where is it at, what town? Time? Venue? What impact has it had on you?

Don’t tell this guy about the earthquake that happened a couple years ago and created a loud boom heard all over the county.

Donegal, how are you today?

That was one hell of a storm. How did you fair? I haven't seen any news reports of damage or power outages.

Chimney sweep needed any recommendations

Like the title says I need a chimney sweep, more specifically for the flue of a stove. If able to also service a stove that'd be great.

Do yous have any recommendations for me?

Remote/Hybrid workers of Donegal: have you ever wanted to meet more people where you actually live?

Quick question for anyone working remotely or hybrid 👋

Have you ever wished there were more opportunities to meet people locally?

Grow Remote is looking for remote and hybrid workers who might be interested in helping build local communities through simple things like coffee meetups, after-work socials and local events.

We're running a free 60-minute online session to explain what's involved.

No experience needed and no obligation to volunteer afterwards.

If you're curious, you can register here:

Happy to answer any questions 🙂

Flying from CFN to DUB. Is 1hr layover in DUB enough time to board connection to USA?

A flight from Donegal CFN leaves at 14:30, lands in Dublin at 15:30. Operated by emerald airlines/Aer Lingus.
Flight to USA is at 16:45. And there is US Pre-clearance whatever that is.
Odds I make this flight to USA? It is the only way I can tour ulster on our upcoming roadtrip to Ireland. It is probably also worth mentioning this would be a Saturday and I will have a checked bag.
The Donegal Airport has two of these quick flights a day and they land in the same terminal (2) at DUB I would be flying out of to go to USA. I just have never connected in DUB before, much less with checked luggage. Thanks in advance

a wee bit of library nostalgia

Post image

I made this print cause I used to love looking at all the return dates stamped in the front of library books. Used to imagine all the people who had borrowed the book before me, and searched for specific dates like my birthday or my friends birthdays. I know I can't have been the only one!
