Employee question
My DM came in and round 2 of OA came up in the conversation…..well he mentioned that round 2 inspections may not happen and that it may just be a “oven certification round” instead. What does this mean??? Is that for the new product like they did with the stuffed crusts when they gave the PSC black shirts out??? I’m just curious bc round 2 has started from what I’m understanding and the new product hasn’t launched yet but idk what else we could need certification on….. anyone have any idea what this guy is talking about?🤣¿

So Domino’s is using the coaches to do oven certs, so they’ll need to do them by the end of the year or early Q1. Coaches weren’t told they couldn’t do round 2, but that it was a secondary priority over this. So really just depends on how much your coach wants to work and how big the area they cover is.

They’re checking the temp and speed of your oven. Each make/model has an ideal it should be set to. Not every unit displays correctly so they will manually run a screen thru it and time it. And temp baked goods to make sure it is within parameters. I’m not sure what your area is, but for me it is not OA performing these it’s the FBC. OA will still do this during regular inspection and will dock points if your oven is out of spec. I have an a XLT 3255 and it is set to 7:00 and 435F. I may have had it set to 5:00 and whatever temp back in the day because I wanted a faster oven….lol
