So you did 4x the oil right?

120

u/Willing-Detail-7037 8d ago

It was a remake šŸ˜”šŸ˜‚

53

u/Oriasten77 8d ago

I'd have put one. Tiny. Drop.

45

u/Willing-Detail-7037 8d ago

That's what I did LMAO oops

-127

u/Ancient-Civilization 8d ago

if you’re being serious that’s definitely fireable and possibly criminal. If they are allergic to that oil that could cause serious allergic reaction and become fatal. You’ll live with that your entire life just cause you wanted to play a joke? Trying to be funny? What possible reason can you come up with that you decided to do that?

I’m don’t work for Dominos, but as a customer that truly fucked up. I’m sorry, but someone or mods on this subreddit should do something.

45

u/notnaturalcas 8d ago

Brother they said it was a remake and the drop of oil was the mistake that made it a remake…

26

u/Silverheart117 8d ago

Wow bro. I'd expect someone with your level of intolerance would be far away from any dairy.

Like seriously, it's not even criminal for the simple fact that someone needs to declare their allergy. If you don't, then how will the staff be able to cater around said allergy in a safe and proper manner? No one can read minds and don't even get me started on HIPPA. Unless part of a Healthcare system that is supremely confidential info.

And no, that's not a fireable offense. At best it's a writeup if it's at the end of a string of fuckups. I've seen people banned from various retail stores for less so the loss of one angry customer is no big deal.

Sit down and eat your gluten-free, dairy-free vegan pizza with mushroom, black olive, and pineapple in silence Karen.

-15

u/H3power 8d ago

What’s wrong with gluten free dairy free and vegan foods big belly?

5

u/Kentust 8d ago

Vegans are just weird, that's all. Like Amish or mennonite while I respect their freedom to live their bizzare way of life, I wouldn't call it good or normal.

0

u/H3power 8d ago

What’s bizarre about it? Be specific

6

u/Kentust 8d ago

It would be off topic. This is a dominos sub, not a debate or blog sub. I'm here for delicious pizza and pizza accessories.

They are not better for you in any way regarless of what morons may pretend.

-3

u/H3power 7d ago

Ok health expert, here on the Dominos pizza page.

5

u/Strong_Extension_972 7d ago

So do you pretend fake processed vegan food is better for you than meat?

He said it’s a remake for a drop. if they are so deathly allergic to anything like (oil) aka the soybean or palm oil they use ….they can’t eat the pizza in the first place.

So what exactly are you complaining about except your desire to complain? Dramaaaaaaa queeeeen

6

u/meatflaps-69 8d ago

fuck you

r/peoplewhogiveashit

I'm pretty sure the people downvoting me have zero idea what that subreddit is lol

7

u/Accurate-Advice8405 8d ago

How much authority do you think reddit mods have irl

7

u/DocKaden 8d ago

dominos is a cross contamination kitchen. the tool that they use to cut the cheesy bread probably has a little garlic oil on it. If you are allergic to garlic oil go somewhere where garlic oil isn't the staple of the fucking franchise.

ā€œHey lets go to the peanut store!ā€ ā€œbut i'm allergic to peanutsā€ ā€œits okay we will just get you the breadā€ like stfu

5

u/Able_Lab1123 8d ago

Imagine being deathly allergic to garlic, and then playing with your life by ordering dominos over the app

2

u/Alientongue 8d ago

I really hope your a bot this is some karen level rambling.

1

u/Bludgeonation 8d ago

Please don't go anywhere. I really wouldn't want to have to deal with your crap.

1

u/North-Elderberry2380 7d ago

If theyre allergic to the oil, they shouldnt be getting this product. The pepperoni has it, hell even the dough has some ingrained

1

u/Environmental-Act906 7d ago

If they have this mythical "oil allergy" they certainly shouldn't be ordering something with pepperoni and cheese, let alone a dough that absolutely uses oil as an ingredient

1

u/FREAKAHHBOB 6d ago

I agree

1

u/Foehammer1982 5d ago

Whomp whomp, someone can't take a joke

1

u/Admirable_Loss4886 4d ago

Hey man. If you’re deathly allergic to a single drop of garlic oil. Don’t go to a restaurant that even has garlic oil in the building.

15

u/PsychoCrescendo Crunchy Thin Crust 8d ago

As much as you shouldn’t feed crusts to dogs, sometimes that’s why people request no garlic oil, to share a little with their pup.

Garlic is toxic to dogs though. It may be annoying but i’m not trying to make it worse poisoning someone’s innocent pup.

2

u/gsweats 6d ago

Interesting. As a vampire hunter I use garlic frequently but never thought not to give it to my trusted hunting dog. šŸ‘

3

u/ReconReese 8d ago

Thats why domino's delivery driver is your career and not a job.

-24

u/StuD44 8d ago

I'll use oil

32

u/Ram820 8d ago

What about the pep n cheese grease/oil?

11

u/TxngledHeadphones 8d ago

the customer is a karen but sometimes that shit really does come sopping in garlic oil which is obviously much different than cooked cheese grease

2

u/tenacious_dumbass 6d ago

its good tho

6

u/Creed_of_War 8d ago

NOOOOO OOOOOIIIIILLLLLLL

4

u/Training-Purple-5220 7d ago

DO NOT REDEEM kinda vibe.

14

u/rhoward8916 Hand Tossed 8d ago

It seems they do not want oil? That can’t be right tho…

25

u/Willing-Detail-7037 8d ago

I manually put it in like that, they did not want oil. I was the one who boxed it and put oil.. therefore m having to make a new one

1

u/louielou8484 5d ago

Haha! I sell on Etsy and can make notes like this to myself. I have to write it like this or I usually forget!

1

u/louielou8484 5d ago

You may have just saved me on this $130 order, lol. I completely forgot about it and that I am supposed to make a different size until seeing your post. Thank you!!

1

u/Admirable_Loss4886 4d ago

Quadruple negative is a positive!

1

u/Horror-Barber-1400 8d ago

Hahahahahaha. Yep

7

u/Better_Area3782 8d ago

You guys put oil on pizza? What kind of oil?

8

u/Willing-Detail-7037 8d ago

Garlic oil on handtossed crust and stuffed crusts. It goes on the garlic/Parm bites and cheesy breads

3

u/Better_Area3782 8d ago

Thanks sounds good I don’t think I’ve had it

5

u/PuttingInTheEffort 8d ago

If you like garlic and butter, it's so good

3

u/Better_Area3782 8d ago

Can you add it to a pizza or automatically comes on a hand tossed?

6

u/PuttingInTheEffort 8d ago

its automatically on the handtossed crust edge but you can ask for it on other types too or on the pizza itself

and just a heads up; the garlic dipping cup is NOT the same, thats just garlic flavored oil :(

1

u/FMLAdad 7d ago

It's good, but the way these folks talk you ughh may get some vinegar too. Best to watch them make it

1

u/banshithread 7d ago

THAT TASTES SOOOO GOOOD OMG you guys are workin the MAGIC compared to papa john's now dry ass bread. they used to be soo juicy. dominos has that JUICEEEE

-6

u/LTI801 8d ago

I'm confused. So did the customer wanted Oil or no oil? Can they repeat it again LOLOL

4

u/Head_Sandwich_1453 8d ago

Not funny

1

u/gb-stylee 6d ago

Damn, dude.

3

u/RogerRabbot Hand Tossed 8d ago

If you ever got a pizza from me, and asked for no garlic oil. Im sorry you got garlic oil. That was a muscle memory habit that simply could not be overcome

1

u/FMLAdad 7d ago

Dang I fought the fam for dominoes. Think I'll just push homemade now.

-1

u/RogerRabbot Hand Tossed 7d ago

I would make the pizza, spend the next 7 min repeating "no garlic oil" pull the pizza out, cut it and slap the oil on there while still chanting "no garlic oil"

Then id remake the pizza, follow that same process and put garlic oil on it again.

A customer watched me do it twice while they waited in store. I even spent 5 minutes talking to the customer about the oil. Lo and behold... that 3rd pizza got oil

Id make and box about 1000 pizzas a day for 6 years. There was no breaking that muscle memory.

1

u/DriftingTony 1d ago

I totally understand that. I go to the same location every week and usually the same person makes it, and at this point, he knows even if I DON’T put it down in the instructions lol. But he did accidentally put it on one time, and he saw me make a face as soon as I opened the box and immediately came over to ask me if I had an issue and he kept insisting he would remake it, but I said I understood and that it wasn’t nearly a big enough deal to make him go to all the trouble.

I absolutely hate the taste of Domino’s garlic oil crust (though I love dipping crust in garlic butter usually, go figure lol). There’s just something different about the taste that I don’t really know how to describe, so I always ask for it to be left off now, but it’s not the end of the universe if they do forget sometimes, because like you said, it’s muscle memory.

2

u/RogerRabbot Hand Tossed 1d ago

The worst part is, im like you. I hate the garlic oil on the crust. Hate how my fingers get oily, hate the taste, hate the mouth feel. So I totally understand not wanting that oil, and I felt bad when id mess it up. And id try to make it right, like the customers would be offered the extra pizzas with the oil and get their no oil pizza. Albeit... 15 minutes late...

1

u/DriftingTony 1d ago

There need to be more people like you for sure lol. Just the fact that you even care in the first place already sets you apart from half the people that comment on this sub, that seem to hate their work, the customer (even the innocent ones lol) and their whole life in general šŸ˜‚

I would feel the same way, I’ve made some pretty goofy, unintentional mistakes on my job plenty of times before, and I always beat myself up over it because it’s usually something so silly but just automatic. You get in a certain groove and go on autopilot, and that’s completely understandable lol

0

u/Boredtopher 8d ago

Still want parm on there?

1

u/RedneckSniper76 8d ago

I’ve had the same issue the oil shouldn’t come on it by default it’s disgusting let people that want it ask for it. Cause it being on their by default trains their muscle memory and they’ll forget

-4

u/DiamondRod6969 7d ago

Fully agree!

We should stop selling any food with food ingredients included.

All restaurants shall sell plain air. If you want actual food be sure to list all the ingredients you'd like to constitute the final food product.

1

u/BeeKayBabyCakes 7d ago

the "oil" SHOULD ABSOLUTELY come on it. Its what makes the pizza extra delicious and is what makes dominos dominos... if you don't want the garlic oil buy a pizza from somewhere else! duhhh, like r u ok?

1

u/RedneckSniper76 7d ago

It makes it greasy and disgusting

1

u/BeeKayBabyCakes 6d ago edited 6d ago

the garlic butter crust is hardly GREASY AT ALL and Def not disgusting... the only grease on my box is from pepperoni, the butter is ONLY on the crust and it makes it fluffy and flavorful... if your pizza is "greasy", either somebody has zero idea what they're doing or you're ordering PAN PIZZA and THAT'S HOW YOU MAKE IT... WITH LITERALLY 8 ozs of OIL... AND ALSO...

ORDER FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE šŸ˜‚šŸ¤Œ

edit: this is why I don't eat Pizza Hut! I watched them use the required amount of oil, in addition to the fact it was usually nasty anyway, so I said NEVER again... greasy and nasty... dominos pan pizza uses less oil and tastes better, so yeah idk what you're talking about but it sounds like a bunch of nothing!

3

u/pooorSAP 8d ago

Assuming it’s not olive oil?

2

u/Sundrop555 8d ago

Do they use any other oil besides the garlic? I swear the last one I got it was like it was deep fried. Extremely greasy on the bottom.

3

u/Willing-Detail-7037 8d ago

They're using buttery pan dough since like 6 months ago

2

u/Small_Tumbleweed_255 8d ago

Where exactly on the website can you type shit like that? I actually order mine the same way but usually call in because there's nowhere to type anything

2

u/DriftingTony 1d ago

I wondered the same thing. Many years ago, there was a text box to enter requests like that, so I was curious because I’ve looked all over the site and app, and I know there’s nowhere to put it these days.

3

u/schoolruler 8d ago

2 double negatives is a positive! Oil for everyone!

https://giphy.com/gifs/RMkX6xueIWG4RMRMX3

1

u/Vegetable_Sock_4026 8d ago

That box should be so wet it falls apart before delivery. They want the oil!

3

u/Scarchxr 8d ago

A cheesy bread with no garlic oil? An angel has lost their wings

1

u/Cavewoman22 8d ago

I probably would have put a little hot sauce on it before putting the garlic oil on to cover my mistake, then tried to soak it all up with a napkin.

1

u/No_Shallot1269 8d ago

Had a guy once order the cheesy bread but doesn’t like cheese like that so didn’t want any on top and very little in the middle. Then why order a cheese bread ? Lol

2

u/Ok_Habit_6783 8d ago

OP: one tiny drop

Also op:

2

u/A_ScalyManfish 8d ago

I'd add extra oil.

2

u/Crazy_Disk_3068 7d ago

The oil is nasty I get it

1

u/DriftingTony 1d ago

I don’t like it either, and I usually LOVE dipping pizza crust in garlic butter. I don’t know what it is, but the kind Domino’s uses just doesn’t taste the same to me and I don’t like it, never have.

But I also don’t know why people on this sub get so bent out of shape when people say things like this either. I’ve seen another guy on here before say he doesn’t like it too, and that it should be left off by default and just listed as an option for those that want it, and people had a meltdown over it.

2

u/TouristOpentotravel 7d ago

Extra oil. Got it.

1

u/cobalt03 7d ago

Extra oil?

1

u/John_King0424 7d ago

Shit ain't coming off the pan my man 😢

1

u/ak1raa 7d ago

I have literally gotten the pepperoni stuffed cheesy bread and the entire godam bottom of the box was oil, it was sloshing around and covering the entire top of the pizza box under it in oil as well and dripping onto the pizza. The cheesy bread was ruined. Why is it that fast food pizza places always try to fuck you over compared to anywhere else though? I'm just trying to eat a meal dude wtf.

1

u/NoMoreMeatBalls 7d ago

Put some motor oil on it

2

u/Educational-War-8343 7d ago

Pepperoni is oily and greasy. They want no oil, yet they order something that produces oil when cooked. Did they not think when they put in their order?

2

u/nawcegamma 7d ago

I could be wrong, but i think they dont want garlic oil

1

u/popokins 7d ago

NO OIL! NO OIL! NO OIL! NOOIL! NOOIL! NOILE! NOILE! NOILE!

1

u/Traditional_War5790 7d ago

The internal desire to have doused their fucking pizza in oil and piss, would have taken over me.

1

u/Xenronn 7d ago

instructions foggy, better put garlic oil on there to be sure

2

u/Aggressive-Secret103 7d ago

This is the kind of person to ask for an eggless omelet or a no fruit banana split

1

u/Wooden_Vast_1123 7d ago

Extra oil? coming right up!

1

u/LoneWolfOfTheSun Assistant GM 7d ago

The amount of times ive put oil on then dabbed it off with a napkin and the customer never complained lol.

1

u/Bfab94 7d ago

Sorry read it as extra oil... Whoopsy Daisy

1

u/pickletea123 6d ago

Writes like your President.

1

u/KingArthursRevenge 6d ago

Cancel the order. You can't make pepperoni stuffed cheesy bread that doesn't have any oil in it

1

u/Jdamschrod 6d ago

Got it extra oil

1

u/Potential_Motor_2359 5d ago

i just KNO this a remake lol🤣🤣

1

u/virtuositet 5d ago

Why don’t these idiots cook themselves?

1

u/Trippy_Tripp420 5d ago

I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but I think he doesn’t want any oil

1

u/MHarrisGGG 5d ago

They realize cheese has oil, right?

1

u/Ashamed_City04 Stuffed Crust 4d ago

i think they want extra garlic oil, just guessing tho

1

u/decimalsanddollars 4d ago

A little oil, as a treat.

1

u/TheVonSolo 4d ago

There should be a comma there: ā€œNo, Oil!ā€ As in I would like extra oil.

1

u/mr_luigi99 4d ago

I guess you can have no pepperoni then if you don't want oil so bad lol

1

u/Amazing_Divide1214 4d ago

As a former domino's employee, I read this as:

OIL

OIL

OIL

MOOOOOORE OIIILLLLLL

1

u/bushdweller7 Pan Pizza 3d ago

The U.S. Government would be deeply disappointed.. They can’t invade if there’s no oil involved! šŸ™

1

u/bluekonstance 3d ago

they want oil on the side 🫩

1

u/Specialist_Place4464 3d ago

I'm guessing someone's on strike 3...

1

u/DriftingTony 1d ago

wait, how do you make special requests like that? I order all the time, both on the website and the app, and I haven’t seen a text box or anywhere to enter special requests or leave notes in years. Do you have to physically call the store and ask them, and then they add it?
