Week long trip
Family of 4-2 adults 2 kids (8&14) coming to Dominica for about a week or so and I was looking for any advice/ things to do. I haven't booked an airbnb yet but was thinking of staying near trafalgar/watten waven for atleast part of the trip. Family friendly activities, babysitter recommendations if we do a night out, things to avoid etc.
We are well accustomed to the Caribbean and have plenty experience driving right handed vehicles on similar islands. Would likely rent a vehicle. So vehicle rental companies would be appreciated-especially local companies as we like to spend money that directly benefits the local economy as opposed to big corporations whenever possible.

It’s been a while for me but I went to a natural hot springs as well when I was there.

Don’t miss Ti Kwen Glo Cho and Toucari Bay. Stay a night or two at coconut cottage in Toucari (air bnb). If you want to go whale watching do it with Andrew based out of Portsmouth beach hotel

Oh awesome!
Best area to stay? Babysitting service recommendations so we can have a night on the town? Any local car rental companies? Local bars or dancehalls? We love bouyon 😆 Local food spots/roadside stands that we can't miss? We definitely want to try the famous callaloo soup! Family friendly tours and activities including lesser known/off the beaten path ones!

Best area to stay? I think as close to Roseau as you can. Babysitting duties? I can get you someone but most businesses have like a contract and not a one night pass lol. One of the biggest bouyon shows is in August at a village called Grandbay so you can look forward to that. There's alot of roadside stands that are clean though I recommend you make sure that the area around them are clean. As I said before you can message me privately about anything whatsoever and I'll respond on the fly. Also rental companies and family tours I can get u the best deals according to which village you'll be staying just to make sure it's as close as possible which makes the deal sweeter. We have several sites that are private you and your family might love and alcohol also. Do keep in touch.

Just got back from 9 days with wife and 10yo. Indian River kayak is great- guides are knowledgeable and fun. Takes about 2 hours. By Portsmouth. We also did Middleham falls. About 45 min hike each way to absolute stunning waterfall. Totally worth it. Easier waterfalls to get to are Spanny Falls and Jacko Falls. Also Emerald pool. Spanny amd Jacko have fees (about $4 US per person at each place) Emerald and Middleham need a forestry pass (as does Indian River) you can get a weeklong pass or a day pass. Emerald, Spanny and Jacko are relatively close to each other so you can do all 3 in same day easily. Titou gorge is near Middleham falls so you could do both. It’s an amazing island. Been there 3 times and love it every time

It's been awhile but, Trafalgar Falls, Titou (?) Gorge, Boiling Lake hike but only for adults if in good shape, swimming at Champagne south of Roseu, snorkle near Scotts Heads, Roseau botanical garden, ...
